Alexis instantly won the role of Rory Gilmore, "It was very unexpected. I was nervous and didn't know what I was doing. It just happened to work out".

Gilmore Girls is currently in it's fifth season the WB and still holds the title of one of the networks most popular shows. In 2002 Rory landed her first feature film playing Winnie in an adaption of 'Tuck Everlasting'. The film tells the story of a teenage girl who upon running away from home discovers a family living in the woods who more then a hundred years ago drank from a Spring and now live forever. In Addition to her role in 'Sin City' which opens April 1st Alexis will star as Lena in the adaption of the beloved teen novel 'The Sisterhood of the traveling pants' about four best friends who stay connected over their summer vacation through letters they write and a pair of magical pants they share. The film opens in the USA in June.

Alexis admits to still finding her newfound fame a little overwhelming. "It always happens in places where you'd rather not be recognized. Like one time, I was just getting ready to go to bed, but I had this craving for a glass of milk. So I go to the supermarket, and I have like no makeup on, and this couple comes up to me and they're like 'Thursday night!'. They sort of yelled it across the vegetable bin, and I'm like, 'Okay, don't look at me, I look awful. I'm going over here by the celery now.'"

Sin City is bound to do well in the box office, continuing the trend of succesful comic book adaptions. Fans are poised to see what roles the film will open up for Alexis and if she'll move away from the teen queen scene.
