Simple Skin Care

This month as well as doing a make-up article for you all I thought I'd also do a skin care article on ways to keep your skin looking fresh and healthy!

It is so important to look after your skin (especially when you’re young!) as your skin builds up with oil, dirt and skin cells each day which can clog pores and cause breakouts.

So sticking to a cleanse tone moisturize routine at least twice a day should help keep those nasty pimples away and keep your skin looking more youthful and fresh.

In order to keep your face healthy and clean you should follow these 3 simple steps:

1) Cleanse
2) Tone
3) Moisturize

1) Cleansing
This is a very important step to do each day as like i said before, oil, dirt and dead skin cells build up on the skin which clogs pores. So grab a good cleanser, work it into lather in your hands, then massage this into our skin in a circular motion, then rinse. Doing this twice a day should help keep those spots away.

2) Tone
Ever wondered if it’s been worth buying? Yes it is! What a toner does is close the pores that you opened during cleansing to prevent anymore excess dirt going into the pores that reverse the cleansing you just did. I once read about a quick and easy way to use a toner. You could either try a spray bottle toner e.g. Nivea Visage Young Freshen Up Toner or purchase a cheap spray bottle and put your toner into it, then spray on you face and your done within 10 seconds. Easy!

3) Moisturize
The final step of the process, moisturizing. Why? Moisturizers attract moisture & draw it into the skin. Grab a moisturizer specified to your type of skin that is oil free to help stop excess build up of oil on your face. Put a small amount into the palms of your hands, then gently massage it into your face until blended in.

I’ve found in the past it has been hard to find the right face product for my face and always ended up with either that tight feeling on my face or found that some products just irritated my skin. So I have listed a few products below that are more popular products with most teenagers etc. that you could try which may help you with deciding on what products to get.
