Total Addict
Uh-Oh, you’re one of them - that person you see on the bus, at the diner, in the school yard or on the street, always with a phone permanently affixed to their hand and the permanent dark shading or bruises on their thumbs from texting. You have withdrawal symptoms when you can’t take your cell phone somewhere (like the shower – you would have tried but you didn’t dare risk water damage to your cell.) You panic at the though of having to cancel your service and your monthly bill? Let’s not even go there…
Our Advice
Go to the park and leave your cell phone at home. Enjoy the absence of technology and the beauty of nature – play on the swings, roll in the grass, throw a Frisbee around. When you get home you’ll find it is okay to take a break from your cell now and then. Mankind existed for thousands of years without cell phones – you WILL survive too!
Cell Phone Fan
You’re dipping your toes in the water of addiction but choosing to stay dry on the bank. Cell phones are fun but they’re expensive and you still prefer face to face conversation.
Our Advice
Keep it up! You’ve living the best of both worlds – sane fanaticism (wait, is that an oxymoron?)
Cell Phone Hater
Well maybe you don’t hate your cell pone but you don’t know where it is half the time and the majority of the rest of the time it’s battery is flat. You don’t get all the hype. What’s the big deal?
Our Advice
Cell phones do have their advantages. They’re great in emergencies and texting provides a casual way to keep in touch with distant friends when you have the time for a full audio conversation.
Don’t go crazy but maybe you should give them more of a chance.
