Fall/Winter 2006
Wondering what the runways have been showing for this fall and winter?
The Colours:
The runways are showing that dark colours will be huge. Shades of grey, burgundy, navy blues and blacks will dominate.
The Styles:
Military is just as big, if not bigger then previous seasons. On your feet may just be really high heels and some even platforms. The 80’s seem to be sneaking into our wardrobe with skinny jeans, leggings as well. For anyone questioning the layered look, yes it is still happening.
Now are you wondering what is big in the stores for this fall and winter?
Clothing and Accessories (not including shoes):
Camouflage in clothing and accessories.
Skulls are huge still in clothing and accessories.
Polka dots are everywhere in clothing.
Cherries seem to be showing up.
Stripes are big with sweaters and tops.
Plaids seen as men’s style pants and as skirts whether they are pencil skirts that go down a little past your knee caps or mini skirts.
Shoes:
Plaids are not only popping up in skirts and pants it’s also in shoes!
Animal prints (mostly leopard) are getting to be big in shoes.
There are a lot of patent heels that are extra high this season. (Please be careful!).
For those who aren’t so daring in heels, there is always the classic ballet flat.
Wedges seem to be still big, some show a little bit of 70’s style.
Polka dots are being shown on canvas shoes whether they are sneakers, wedges or flats.
A salute to the one who wants something girly there is always the classic bow on heels or even ballet flats.
Now that I’m done with the info, here is a little bit of fun. Shoe shopping!
