Fashion Spotlight:
Style Stunners from the CMA Award’s Red Carpet

On Wednesday, November 11th, the 43rd Annual CMA Awards took place. If you watched, you were able to witness a night of heartwarming performances, gorgeous outfits, and many jokes at Kanye West’s expense. Whether it was Carrie Underwood’s many dress changes, or just one dress from one of the girls, everybody stepped out to impress. Except for maybe a few outfits, everybody looked beautiful. This week, we take a look at the gorgeous outfits the stars stepped out in.

Carrie Underwood

For the second year in a row, Carrie Underwood hosted with Brad Paisley. During the red carpet, Carrie wore a beautiful jeweled Theia gown. The country star looked fabulous throughout the night, changing her dress at least five times.

Martina McBride

Martina looked stunning in a Georges Hobeika gown on the red carpet. The superstar who sang with Garth Brooks left her hair down in pretty waves, and added a DANNIJO cuff to the look. Although Martina is getting older, you would never be able to tell.

Faith Hill

The country songstress looked red carpet worthy in a lavender gown. Her diamond chains by Neil Lane made the outfit pop, along with her Judith Leiber clutch. Faith paired the outfit with gorgeous black earrings, a large ring, and her husband, Tim McGraw. The duo presented Taylor Swift with the Entertainer of the Year award.

The Super, The So-So, and The Seriously Should Think Again:

The Super
Taylor Swift

Taylor arrived on the CMA Award’s red carpet looking like a princess in a gown by Reem Acra.

The So-So
Jessica Stroup

On November 11th, Jessica wore a Wren jacket with an Enza Costa top, Seven for all Mankind jeans, and Brian Atwood shoes. Her Jennifer Fisher for Broken English spike necklace and Tylie Malibu clutch tied the outfit together.

The Seriously Should Think Again
Lady Gaga

Once again, Lady Gaga is this week’s Seriously Should Think Again. While at LAX airport on November 10th, the twenty-three year old sported what seemed to be a green dress, black tights, and/or black heels. The dress was wide open, and it was obvious Lady Gaga was not wearing clothes underneath.

Hint and Tip of the Week:
If you ever need to get dressed up, say for prom, homecoming, or any other kind of formal (such as an award show), try not to be too flashy. Sparkles, sequins, glitter is all fine. But if you dress too insane, you’ll stand out – in a bad way. That’s not to say you shouldn’t stand out. Try to find something unique, but something classy at the same time. If it’s for a formal, try to be more like Taylor Swift or Carrie Underwood (above), rather than Lady Gaga. You’re going to want to look stunning and stand out. Cheaper dresses can be found at DEB and other local stores. If you find yourself wearing the same dress as someone else, don’t sweat it. You’re not identical, so the dress looks different on the both of you. Remember, if possible, you can always add something to your dress if you’re not satisfied with it (see: glitter, sequins, rhinestones, etc.).
