Golden Globes Special:
The Super:
Drew Barrymore (in Atelier Versace):

I have seen Drew Barrymore in some herendous outfits on the red carpet, but her Golden Globes dress was incredible. The nude tone of the dress did not wash her out and it gathers beautifully at the waist. I think it stood out the most because of the incredible detailing on the should and waist, just look how amazing it is!
Emily Blunt (in Dolce & Gabbana):

Bring one home for the Brits was Emily Blunt in this D&G dress. I think it stood out to me as the colour is not something you would usually see, and the ruffles are just superb.
Kristen Bell (in Jasmin di Milo):

At these kind of events, you usually see long flowing ball gowns. So here is an example of how well a short dress can work to. This dress looks perfect on Kristen. Her skin looks glowing against the crystal white gown, and while the shape is simple, we get a touch of class with a bow at the waist.
Olivia Wilde (in Gucci):

I must have taken ages deciding where to categories this dress. I think my point of the colour/beading detailing was hard to decide on as I could be negative and postive. Negative being, it doesn't look red carpet, but positive, the fact that it isn't. In the end, I took it as a positive.
Marion Cotillard (in Christian Dior):

For my last place there where 2 dresses I could not decided between as both the colours were unusual. However, I went against my favourite colour (purple), and picked this dress. The dark green is just draws you in and I love the detailing. The colour works perfect with marion's hair and sking tone, and the hair and make-up themselves are one of my favourite of the night.

The So-So:
Julia Roberts (in Yves Saint Laurent):

This dress isn't all bad, cause it does look good on her. I feel its just a bit run of the mill and boring.
Carey Mulligan (in Nina Ricci):

A plus on this dress in the colour. I don;t love or hate the detailing but I could live without it, and the strapless look is not very flattery. Plus apart from this photo, I don't think I've seen the girl smile once.
Christina Hendricks (in Christian Siriano):

Call me prudish, but I think on the red carpet, more is more, rather than less is more. I think the detailing on the dress to is not that flattering, and unlike Drew Barrymore, the nude tone is a bit harsh, as well as the red lipstick.
Fergie (in Elie Saab)

I think this dress is ok on Fergie, I think what puts me off is the colour, it washes her out a bit. And my prudish side is coming in again, as I think it's a little low cut.
Jennifer Garner (Atelier Versace)

This dress does look good on Jennifer, but the colour is a bit iffy, and the striped detailing is not doing anything for me either. Detailing has to be done correctly (Drew Barrymore), otherwise it can throw the dress right off. I think it's slighlty aging to, Jennifer can still pull off a younger looking dress.
Other So-So's:

Amy Poehler - Jay Godfrey
The Seriously Should Think Again:
Chloe Sevigny (in Valentino):

For someone who deems to know a lot about fashion (having done her own range with Open Ceremony), she should know better. I've seen too many pictures of her online trying carry the dress, because there's just so much of it! All that material leaves it so unflattering, making her look twice the size she is.
Jenna Fischer (in Halston):

There is so much going on in this dress, that I'm not sure what it's main style is. The colour looks very good on Jenna, but then there is all that detailing, the weird fold at the waist, then something which looks like they have just wrapped a layer of sheer fabric round a short dress.
Heidi Klum (in Roberto Cavalli):

Here's to show people in fashion can get it wrong to. Mermaid dresses have to be done so right to work, but I do not like this one at all. The sleeves should either be there or not, and the tail end looked tattered. The colour I feel though is actually nice.
Diane Kruger (in Christian Lacroix):

If you are going to do bold colours on the red carpet, you have to have a fantastic dress. This is neither. The pink should have been hot pink like the top of the dress and I really don't like the striped puffy detailing, it makes Diane look very wide.
Jennifer Morrison (in Luis Antonio):

The reason I don't like this is because the overall look is very harsh. I actually like the tone of the dress, but with Jennifers's hair being ash and very similar coloured, it blends in too much. Here less is more, as there is far too much ruffled detailing.
Other Think Again's:
January Jones - Lanvin
Julianna Moore - Balenciaga
Penelope Cruz - Giorgio Armani Privé
