Fashion Spotlight:
They Even Look Good When They Sing: Tour Styles

When you find out your favorite celebrity is coming to your city, you immediately get excited and start planning your outfit, your presents for them, and when you’re getting your tickets. When attending the concert, you pay attention to multiple aspects: the performance, the songs, the music, and the outfits. Some celebrities know how to dress to impress, and others just leave you thinking. In this Fashion Weekly, we take a look at the many different tour styles.

Miley Cyrus

During her Wonder World Tour, Miley has moments where she leaves us thinking, “What was she thinking?!” With the short-shorts and the short-skirts, and even a skirt that looks like a pile of feathers, Miley shocks her fans with some of her outfits. Although some of the outfits aren’t as good as others, there’s no doubt that Miley Cyrus puts on a good show.

Taylor Swift

Going to see Taylor Swift’s Fearless tour? Get ready for two things concerning her outfits: onstage outfit changes, and sparkles and sequins galore. Taylor Swift, usually starting off the show in a marching band costume or a jersey from the city she’s performing in, knows how to put on a show. You can tell the girl loves dresses – everything she wears is a dress! In one dress, she even manages to look like an angel.

Britney Spears

We all know Britney. And chances are, when you heard she was doing a new tour, you jumped at the chance to see the “new” or “better” Britney. Britney’s known for her risky outfit choices. And her Circus tour didn’t disappoint. Skin tight outfits, and barely there clothing proved the statement true: Britney’s back.

This Week's Fashion Highlights:
Which celebs have been sporting some seriously cute outfits this week:

Selena Gomez

On October 17th, Selena looked fashionable in a striped sweater, skinny jeans, and flats while shopping with her family.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift looked gorgeous in a beautiful cinched dress at the “We’re All For the Hall” Benefit concert on October 13th.

Anna Kendrick

At the Up in the Air premiere on October 18th, the Twilight star looked fabulous in a one shouldered black dress and matching shoes.

Ryan Newman

The young actress looks adorable on October 18th, in a floral pink blouse and a pair of denim jeans. She rounds out the outfit with gladiator sandals.

Samantha Droke

The Disney starlet looks cute in denim and a nice, flowy top on October 18th.

The Super, The So-So, and The Seriously Should Think Again:

The Super
Beyonce

On October 16th, Beyonce looked stunning in a little black dress while in Tokyo. Beyonce’s gold necklace and large purse help keep the outfit put together. Beyonce manages to look classy and breathtaking all in one outfit.

The So-So
Katy Perry

Forgoing the usual crazy outfits, Katy looked beautiful as herself on October 18th as she shopped around in Hollywood. Katy’s loose-fitting dress, fedora, and gladiators all look great. Some would say the outfit is too summery for fall, though.

The Seriously Should Think Again
Miley Cyrus

While filming her cameo in the new Sex in the City movie, on October 16th, Miley Cyrus’s outfit was all wrong. Whoever decided on the outfit in the film has an odd taste in fashion. Between the boots, the necklace, and the mismatching prints, the whole outfit is a “seriously should think again.”

Polling It:

This Week's Poll
What do you like to wear to concerts?

1. Homemade t-shirts/tour t-shirts
2. Something similar to the musician I’m seeing
3. Jeans, a nice Shirt
4. None of the Above

Hint and Tip of the Week:
Make sure when putting together your wardrobe, you don’t indulge in just one trend. Try to invest in a couple of pieces from different trends. If you get a closet full of one trend, and that trend goes out of fashion (say: leg warmers, beaded headbands, plaid, etc.), you’ll be caught with a closet full of past trends. Try grabbing a variety of pieces next time you go shopping.
