Troy and Gabriella meet at New Years Eve Party

After becoming Disney Channel’s most successful movie to date with 7.7 million viewers in its broadcast and the soundtrack (and Breaking Free) boosted to Number 1 in the charts, the director (Kenny Ortega), the writer (Peter Barsocchini) and the rest of the crew realized it was time to start their sequel which comes out sometime in January 2007. Vanessa Anne Hudgens is trying to get her younger sister, Stella, in a part. All the characters remain the same in High School musical 2 (2 of them making their careers even more success: Zac Efron appearing in Broadway's "Hairspray", and both Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Anne Hudgens making their own solo CDs) and they are supposed to be filming at a country cottage. At a HSM board, some people did their predictions. Please note that all of these are just what people think, and wouldn’t be what we call “information”. SS4Ed’s prediction: “Sharpay wants Troy. Ryan wants Gabriella. They break them up. A play comes. All 4 audition. Ryan and Sharpay get the lead part but must go to Massachusetts to meet their cousin, and that makes Troy and Gabriella get the part and love each other again. But the two come back earlier than expected and it is the play night. They will ruin Troy and Gabriella as much as possible. With Troy's shoes, water and Gabriella's note book finally break them up? Nope”. Here is also something that may be true, and may be not be true. Some people say that they have already seen High School Musical 2, but don’t say where. They said it has something to do with Troy being a lifeguard, and Sharpay fakes a drown so Troy has to do a mouth-to-mouth thing, and Gabriella gets jealous. No summary, review or anything yet has been mentioned, but whatever it is, we know High School Musical 2 is going to rock cotton socks!
