Interact with iCarly

Ever wanted to be on television? So have many other teens. But only a small minority of actors/actresses actually succeed. It’s sad but it’s the truth.

So I guess that’s the end of your dreams of being on television…

Well think again! Because with the new nickelodeon show, iCarly, it’s your chance to be on television!

iCarly is a regular television show, starring Miranda Cosgrove, Jennette McCurdy and Nathan Kress. It follows Carly’s [Miranda Cosgrove] life, as she goes through daily life with her best friend Sam [Jennette McCurdy]. A funny, witty show that can be watched by a range of ages.

But what makes this show so special? On the show, Carly and Sam have their own web show, and this element is brought out to real life! Viewers send in videos of themselves doing crazy things, their secret talents, and then the cast pick a few to be featured on the show!

Miranda thinks the craziest one she’s seen was when, “a boy, about 13 years old, catapulted himself about 30 feet and landed on a trampoline!”

There’s the great interactive website, where the characters have their own blogs (not related with the actors playing the characters), there are clips from the show, songs to listen to, news related to iCarly, fun photos and of course, the way to send your video in!

This isn’t just a television show…this is the start of a new era! The internet has played a powerful role in our lives and continues to grow as hundreds of daily activities are transferred online. This is the first show that manages to involve viewers in such a way, and use the internet as a promotional tool.

Heard enough to be convinced yet? Catch it on Nickelodeon or go check out the iCarly website www.icarly.com to learn more about the show and find out how you can be a part of it!
