Jesse McCartney
Jesse McCartney was born April 19, 1987 in New York City, New York to Ginger & Scot McCartney. Jesse has one younger sister Lea & one younger brother Timmy. He got his first big break in 1994; at the very young age of 7 when he played a part on Broadway in The King & I. Jesse also has a passion for music, he joined a band called ‘Sugar beats’ in 1997 the band were nominated for a Grammy in 1998.
Also in 1998, Jesse went back to acting when he received his big break in television as Adam Chandler, Jr. on the soap All My Children. During his time on the show, Jesse won two Young Artist Awards in 2001 including 'Best Performance in a TV Drama' for a Supporting Young Actor. The previous year he had been nominated for a Young Artist Award for 'Best Performance in a Soap'. He was nominated for 'Outstanding Child Actor' in 2001 from Soap Opera Digest and was nominated for 'Outstanding Young Actor in A Drama Series' in both 2001 and 2002 at the Daytime Emmys.

Jesse was not done there, he join an all boy band ‘Dream Street’ in 1999. At 12, Jesse was the youngest member of the group. Before they split in 2002 due to legal problems, the band went platinum. Following ‘Dream Street’ Jesse also contributed some of his musical talent as a soloist to the children films: Cinderella story (Best day of my life), Ella Enchanted (Don’t go breaking my heart - a duet with Anne Hathaway), and Stuck in the suburbs (Good life)

Jesse went back to acting and played Bradin in the hit WB show Summerland which was created by Lori Loughlin of Full House fame. She played Ava a thirty-something with a growing fashion career and close-knit group of friends who’s world comes crashing down when her sister and brother-in-law are killed leaving her to raise their three children.
Jesse won 2005 Teen Hottie at the Teen Choice Awards. Personally, I think that Summerland had everything to do with this. Summerland ended after its second season but that was not the last to be heard of Jesse.
At the tender young age of sixteen, Jesse was busy writing his own music and at this time he released his first solo record - Beautiful Soul. The album was released on February 11, 2005 and sold over 1.5 million records, achieving platinum status. That was Jesse’s big break for his music career, he starting touring around the world having adoring fans everywhere he went. Jesse went on tour with the Backstreet boys in their 2005 European tour and later released the single ‘She’s no you’ on June 3rd, 2005. In the music video he showed off his new girlfriend Katie Cassidy. Jesse also released ‘Because you live’. The video showed Jesse traveling across the world performing.

Jesse and Katie first met in Anaheim, California when they were fifteen. Jesse was touring with Dream Street and Katie was back stage with her manager. This was not when they started dating - it all happened in fall 2004. Katie is the daughter of David Cassidy who himself achieved teen heartthrob status similar to Jesse in the 70’s when he starred on The Partridge Family. Katie has recently appeared in Click, When a Stranger Calls and will also be seen in the upcoming Dallas movie. Katie did once date another member from ‘Dream Street’ - Greg Raposo but he approves of there relationship. Jesse and Katie are still going strong to this day.
In 2006 Jesse went back to acting once again by getting the leading part in the independent film Keith which is about a 17-year-old girl who thinks she's got it all figured out until she falls for a guy who has nothing to lose called Keith. Jesse plays Keith. The film aired at the Cannes Film Festival but there have been rumors it will be coming to a cinema near you soon.
Jesse recently produced a new album entitled Right where you want me on which he co-wrote eleven of the songs. The album features twelve new fantastic tracks. For two of the tracks – ‘Can’t let you go’ and ‘Blow your mind’ - Grammy-winning produce John Shanks co-wrote. Shanks also produced two songs, as did Greg Wells who has worked with bands/solos artist such as Hanson and Natasha Bedingfield.
"It's still a pop record, but it's an older-sounding record, I think," Jesse said recently, "It's the difference between being 15 and 19. There're a few tracks on the record you can sink your teeth into and relate to."

One track in particular is very special to Jesse as it is a really heavy song about a buddy of his who died in a drinking and driving accident three years ago it’s called ‘Invincible’. The release date is September 19th so make sure you buy a copy. Jesse is now busy promoting the album and doing press interviews. He will be touring in the fall.
Jesse recently got into a spot of trouble when he was being interview by Steve and Vikki on The Morning show on Star 94 Atlanta. He was meant to be talking about his new album Right where you want me but ended up talking about Jennifer Lopez and her exit from the big-screen adaptation of the TV show Dallas. Jesse’s girlfriend Katie is appearing in the film as Lucy Ewing so when Jesse told Steve and Vikki (and all of their listeners) that the reason Jen backed out of the role as Sue Ellen was because she was pregnant, everyone believed he had the real scoop. It now appears, however, that the teen crooner had no idea what he was talking about.
Jesse McCartney will return to ABC's All My Children, playing himself and not his former role of JR Chandler. The episodes will air on September 8th and 12th. Jesse will perform his new song ‘Right where you want me’ on the show.
Jesse also performed on the show Celebrity duets - much like Dancing with the Stars the show which allows hopeful singers to perform with a famous singer. The public get to vote who stays and who goes. In week three, Carly Patterson got the opportunity to perform with Jesse but sadly she got voted off the show this week.

McCartney graduated from Ardsley High School June 22, 2005 and is hoping to attend UCLA but his work load is tough at the moment.
He played JV Baseball on his High School Baseball team
He auditioned for the lead role in The Sixth Sense, the role was eventually won by Hayley Joel Osment who received a best supporting actor Oscar nomination for his performance.
Jesse owns two pet rats, called Mocha and Blanche

Jesse is the fifth star ever to be featured on Punk'd twice. His first appearance was when Ashton Kutcher tricked him on his way to Beverly Hills High School. Jesse was punk'd by Kutcher who made him believe he broke some gang's motorcycles. In his second appearance, he helped Punk Akon while making a commercial, probably for Toshiba, Panasonic, or Sony. (Helping out his close friend Ashton Kutcher) his trick was that he had Akon think he was making a Japanese commercial and made him say pretty ridiculous things in Japanese.
