The Last Airbender

In The Last Airbender, based on the Nickelodeon animated TV Series, Aang (Noah Ringer) and his friends go to the North Pole in an attempt to find a master to teach them the secrets of Waterbending. While they do this, the Lord of the Fire Nation is waging war against the Earth Kingdom, Water Tribes and Air Nomads. It’s up to Aang and his friends to restore balance to their world.

That is until Gru encounters three young orphaned girls who see in him a potential father. Gru now faces his greatest challenge yet, Margo (Miranda Cosgrove), Edith (Dana Gaier) & Agnes (Elsie Fisher).

In this ‘re-imagining’ of a segment of Disney’s Fantasia, Balthazar Blake (Cage) is a sorcerer in Manhattan who is attempting to defend the city from his arch-nemesis. However, Blake cannot do it alone so trains an unwilling protégé Dave Stutler (Baruchel). Balthazar gives his seemingly average partner a crash course in magic and the two work together to stop the forces of darkness. Dave needs all the courage he can obtain to get through his training, save the city and get the girl.

Five friends form a group ‘The 5 Ovations’ to compete in a music video contest for the prize of one million dollars. As money is short, the girls use their passion and courage to create song and dance numbers capable of competing with those of their arch-rivals ‘The Wiggies’, five rich sisters who will do anything to win the competition.

Based on the Ramona children’s book series by Beverly Cleary, the movie tells the story of Ramona (King), a third grade-schooler with a vivid imagination, a huge amount of energy and accident-prone antics which keep everyone on their toes. Ramona’s sense of fun comes in handy when she helps her family face the challenge of saving their home. Along the way, Ramona also has to deal with her over-achieving sister, Beezus (Gomez), and the on-of romance of her Aunt Bea (Goodwin).

Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore

The battle between cat and dog is one which is commonly known and in the sequel to the 2001 film Cats & Dogs, one cat has taken things too far. Kitty Galore, a former agent of the cat spy organization MEOWS, has had enough of her dog enemies and cat friends. With the help of the mice and of the cunning cat Mr. Tinkles, Kitty Galore has hatched a plan to take over the world. The cats and dogs pull together as they attempt to save themselves and their human owners from Kitty Galore’s plan.
