Lindsay's musical aspirations first showed in 2003's 'Freaky Friday' where the film ended with her character singing at a wedding. The song was 'Ultimate' and started Lindsay's musical fanbase. When asked by MTV at the time regarding a music careere her response was "I'm kind of just meeting with people and feeling it out. I'm not going to jump into anything, because I'm busy working with other stuff. I'm looking for other scripts right now, so I don't want to jump into it. I think the music industry is all about timing. I want to wait until I'm older, so if I do want to act a certain way or sing certain lyrics and stuff, it's age appropriate, not like, "What is she doing at 17 singing that?" With timing, hopefully it'll all work out. We'll see what happens." Her 2003 film 'Confessions of a teenage Drama Queen' gave her the opportunity to use her vocal chords some more with 4 songs 'That Girl', 'What are you waiting for?', 'A day in the life' and the Medly 'Don't Move On/Living for the City/Changes'. She also had a song on the soundtrack of the Princess Diaries Sequel 'Princess Diaries 2: A Royal Engagement'. A few months ago she signed with Casablanca records and has been working with Producer Randy Jackson (American Idol). So what teens think of Lindsay's launching into music?
