Of course, using the heart as an example is more aesthetically pleasing to the eyes and mind. As a bonus, the figurative shape is also something people use more often than the real object. Even though the heart is quite the vital organ, I highly doubt that someone that you love would like to stare at a blue and red mass of muscle and tissue that twitches every second, rather than a smoother formed figurative heart that, with its curves, can easily portray a more simplistic form of the word “love.” Also, adding an arrow or some text to a human heart isn’t all that easy. However, it’s interesting how love cannot be described easily by any single person, but can be summed up in three simple words, “I love you,” which is possibly one of the simplest phrases in the English language, yet one of the hardest and most difficult to say. The concept of “love” cannot be grasped so easily by anyone, even if you spend years analyzing it, because the word itself is an enigma. The word “love” has a myriad of different meanings, so it can be easily used in a way which it was not meant. In a single scenario, a person might say they “absolutely love” a materialistic object in their possession. Of course, in this phrasing of the word “love”, it does not have to mean the person adores the item and wishes to spend the rest of his or her life with it because that would be highly illogical. Instead, the person is merely expressing his or her excitement over an item, which he or she likes very much. However, if a person tells their partner that they “love them with all their heart,” then of course; the word “love” would express complete and utter affection for the person he or she is directing it towards. In any case, the multiple meanings of “love” can, and probably will, confuse many people. Though from my own personal experiences, “love” is quite a wonderful thing. Being in a relationship with a wonderful person makes me one of the happiest people on the planet, because that is how I, myself, describe the word “love.” My own personal view of the word “love” would have to be, that I want to make my partner happy in the end. Even if that meant that I would be left with a broken heart, I would still aim to be the best that I could be for her. Most would ask me, “Why would you go to such extreme lengths for just one person?” and as always, I would have to respond, “Because the person that I love with all my heart is my world, and I can’t have my world being sad now can I?” Even though people look at me like I’m a crazy idiot, it wouldn’t matter to me because all that would matter to me would be what is right in front of me, the person I love and cherish. Though “love” in itself is an enigma and almost impossible to study, most discover the meaning of “love” by themselves. However, describing the feeling of “love” is like attempting to describe the taste of water. But, who knows, you may find “love” somewhere you would have never thought to look.
