A Girl Crush is when you have a slight obsession and admiration for another girl’s sense of style, achievements, personal charisma and you want to be just like her.

I guess that is why we call it a ‘crush’ as the origin of the word comes from a combination of the words ‘crazy’ and ‘rush’.

There are two types of Girl Crushes they are the Celebrity Girl Crush and the non-Celebrity Girl Crush.

Celebrity Girl Crush:

The Celebrity Girl Crush is probably the most common one of the two. It is normally affection for a Celebrity that you feel you can relate to and you admire. You have tons of posters and magazine pictures of her on your wall so you can study her style, you have seen every one of her movies or own every one of her CD’s, you even have her official website as your homepage….hell you run that website!!

With this type of Girl Crush you might feel hints of jealousy towards this girl, wish you had her life, career, boyfriend, same clothes, make-up, car, and body. In many ways you could envy her but you mainly idolize the ground she walks on. However the beauty of having a non-Celebrity Girl Crush is often the ‘crush’ can turn into a great friendship.
