Move over high heels and flip flops! The original leather moccasin is taking a stand. Most recently seen on such fashion-forward celebrities as Cameron Diaz, Kirsten Dunst and even Victoria's Secret models, the fancified moccasins are Springs most comfy shoe trend. The worlds most famous manufacturer of moccasins, Minnetonka, has certainly heard the desperate cry for more. Sequins, beads, lacey sew-ons and even hand-painted designs are sure to adorn every moccasin you run accross this spring. What really makes moccasins the best choice this spring? That's simple! They're easy to throw on whether you're a busy college student or looking to be high schools hippest freshman. The comfort of most moccasins lie in their inherent sheepskin soles and lack of any six inch heel likely to twist the ankle and mold the foot into a whole new shape overnight. This spring, a simple, sweet moccasin is the way to go! And the best part? You can have them until next winter.

Also be on the lookout for birkenstocks in an array of colors, pretty little ballet flats, and the moccasins cousin, the moc wedge! Whew! and it seemed like boots would never leave town!

Some tips in finding the right style for you

1. Moccasins will be seen in many colors. When making your selection, decide if you want to stand out or sink in with the crowd? Keep in mind a bright color like hot pink or turquoise might not go with everything in your wardrobe though.

2. What decoration best suits me? Lacy is considered a sexy sort of girly, while plain leather is classy and suitable even for the most tomboyish of a girl. Beads give that almost bohemian hippie look while sequins are just plain girly!

3. So you feeling a little short lately? Why not pump it in up with the moccasin wedge, which has a few inch lift toward the skies, yet still quite a safe wedge built in. But if you are you trying to hide the fact you were born as tall as your neighbor's tree? No fear! Most moccasins have absolutely no lift to them.
