The band started when Jack Barakat and Marc Shilling met in their freshman year at Dulaney High School. Jack played the guitar and Marc was a bassist/singer so they decided to put a band together for fun after the found out that they shared the love for pop music. After many band member changes and name changes (the band called themselves NeverReck before All Time Low), the band consists of Alex Gaskarth (guitar/lead vocals), Jack Barakat (guitar/vocals), Zack Merrick (bass/vocals) and Rian Dawson (drums). The name All Time Low came from a lyric in the New Found Glory song ‘Head On Collision’. In 2004, the boys got signed to Emerald Moon Records and they released a four track EP called ‘The Three Words to Remember in Dealing with the End’ and full length ‘The Party Scene’ through them. In their senior year, not long before Graduation, they got signed to Hopeless Records and through them they released a new EP called Put Up or Shut Up and on September 25th 2007, released ‘So Wrong, It’s Right.” Since the release, All Time Low has becoming really successful and have been featured on a number of MTV play lists, like MTV’s Big Ten and MTV’s Discover and Download. They have also toured with the likes of Plain White T’s and Cobra Starship. So what’s happening with All Time Low in the oncoming months? Well, they’re playing on the Warped Tour this summer, ‘Poppin’ Champagne’ the music video is being premiered on MTV's FNMTV on August 1st and they are currently writing songs for a new album, which ex-Blink-182 and +44 bassist Mark Hoppus is actually appearing on.
