The band, which is most known, even by non-Fall Out Boy-fans, for their incredibly long song titles; Case in point: the first track of their new album, “From Under the Cork Tree” is called “Our Lawyers Made Us Change the Name of This Song so We Wouldn’t Get Sued”-sixteen words. Another is nineteen words: “I Slept With Someone In Fall Out Boy and All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me.” See what I mean?

“Oh, don’t mind me, I’m watching you two from the closet, wishing to be the friction in your jeans. Isn’t it messed up, how I’m just dying to be him?” Sound jealous? Oh yeah. Most songs by Fall Out Boy are the jealous ramblings of a scorned boyfriend; and believe me; Hell hath no fury like a punk-rocker scorned. It’s where their best material comes from. And the catchy lyrics of FOB come from bassist Pete Wentz and his experiences with his past girlfriends.

But despite their heart-broken pasts, the boys of Fall Out have hit it big with their most recent album, and the first single of the disc, “Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down.” Furthering their popularity, their next single, “Dance, Dance,” hits radio soon, followed closely by the crazy video. I’m sure you thought the video for “Sugar” was crazy…Just wait till “Dance.” True to the title, the video includes –what else- a dance-off, follows Pete (decked out in geek-gear) through an evening of hell as he tries to score with his date at the homecoming dance, and much more craziness. It’s going to be great.

But in all seriousness, take away the jealous, angry song lyrics, whacked-out song titles, and crazy videos, what do you get? Four straight edge young guys who just love to play music, have fun, and are incredibly grateful to all of their young, devoted fans.

The Redneck Woman herself, Gretchen Wilson will be spending more time at home for a while. Working for 15 months straight, her voice is getting a bit tired. For that very reason, her doctor’s ordered her to take some time off, and rest up a bit before heading off to do another tour. While home, she’ll spend time with her 5 year old daughter, Grace.

I’m sure you’ve all heard, but country singer great, Kenny Chesney and wife of 4 months, actress Renee Zellweger, recently decided to call it quits, and though rumors of one wanting to start a family while the other won’t commit have been flying around, no one knows for sure the true nature of the annulment.

And, belated congratulations to Britney Spears and husband of 1 year, Kevin Federline, on their brand new bundle of joy, baby boy Sean Preston Federline. Good luck to both of you.
