Hear That? September Music Releases
By Melissa (Age 24, USA)

We’ve got some upcoming artists you’ll want to watch out for this month.

September 1st, 2009:

Whitney Houston: I Look To You

The sensational Whitney Houston has been off her game on her last couple albums. There’s no denying her talent or that voice though. Here’s hoping this is an album deserving of her skill.

The Used: Artwork

Hardcore band The Used release their latest studio album. If you haven’t checked out this band, you need to. There’s something for everyone. (Except maybe country fans). Regardless, this looks like another hit for the boys from Utah.

___________

September 8th, 2009:

Boys Like Girls: Love Drunk

The punk/rock band from Boston release their 2nd album. The first one was a huge hit and this promises to be no different. Check out the first single, “Love Drunk” starring Ashley Tisdale.

___________

September 11th, 2009:

Jay-Z: Blueprint 3
The rapper’s last album didn’t have any standout hits but he still sold plenty of copies. With fewer rap releases this month, Jay-Z should have another hit on his hands.

___________

September 14th, 2009:

Muse: The Resistance
Muse has gained a lot of mainstream popularity in recent months with their inclusion on the Twilight soundtrack, highly due to author Stephenie Meyer’s obsession with the band. Highly promising album.

___________

September 22nd, 2009:

Mika: We Are Golden
The man with the voice and attitude of Freddie Mercury releases his 2nd album. His first album was a smash with hits like “Grace Kelly” and “Lollipop.” This latest venture promises to be equally excellent.

___________

Christina Aguilera: Light and Darkness
The fantastic pop star releases her latest studio album. Xtina has stated that this album is a futuristic sense and very different from previous albums. She worked with Le Tigre and Goldfrapp on several songs (both are electronic pop) so it is definitely a new sound. Can’t wait!

___________

September 29th, 2009:

Selena Gomez and The Scene: Kiss and Tell
The latest Disney Star to release an album has been some time in the making as Selena worked to learn piano and guitar for her album. She has been adamant about wanting to be a part of a band not a solo artist. I loved her duet with Forever the Sickest Kids and look forward to this album.

___________

Paramore: Brand New Eyes
Easily the most exciting release of the month. Paramore’s third album’s first single “Ignorance” is already doing fantastically. The band’s popularity thanks to the Twilight soundtrack can only help them conquer the charts.
