MySpace Act of the Week: Linden
Sound is…
Members… Linden has had a tough road over the last year and a half. They have gone through numerous group changes, losing previous members to other ventures and relocation. Despite it all, the now trio remains upbeat and strong. They have been playing shows at college venues across middle America with the likes of Owl City and Spill Canvas this summer to sold out crowds, but are still working on putting out a full length album. (Their EP is currently available.) The appeal of Linden is found in their clear vocals and honest lyrics. Yes, some of their songs could be classified as power pop instead of pop/rock, but both sounds work for them. They don’t sound like an up and coming band who has to learn the ropes. They sound like they’ve been doing this for years, and like they have the staying power to keep going. With their talent, they’re sure to be one of the bands to watch out for.
