New Driver? Article
Are you a new driver? Just got your permit and totally ready to hit the roads or are going to do so soon? Well here are some words of advice and just humorous stories from other teens who just got their licenses:

I've learned that when driving you really can't daydream and look at the scenery like you do when other people are driving. Even if it's just for 10 seconds that can be enough to send your careening down some steep bank. Thankfully when I did it there was someone else in the car to quickly grab the wheel and steer me away from the cliff... So yeah, when driving just worry about driving, not the scenery ;)

Geraldine was driving home one day and was certain something was wrong with her car. It was hardly going. She was getting desperate and about to call a taxi and everything when she realised the reason the car wasn't going was because the handbreak was on. When driving always turn the handbreak of first ;)

Driving into other peoples cars really isn't a good thing to do. Geraldine did that when she was learning to drive. The other car was parked but full of people. The bright side of the story (if you could call it that) is that she didn't damage their car. Just hers..

Beware of parking lots when you're not yet overly confident regarding narrow places. Geraldine once got stuck in a parking garage when the two cars on either side of her were parked really close.

Driving with a 3 year old cousin can be a fun experience when learning to drive. Just make sure he's buckled in or you'll hear him tumbling around in the back seat as you press the accelerator down too hard too fast or hit the break all at once. But on a brighter subject said younger cousin will likely give you a commentary of surrounding scenery as you drive. 'Oooh! Going down' could be heard as you near a slope or 'Be Careful! Be Careful!' as you go through a particulary narrow road, even 'That's where the games played!' as you go past a tennis court! Fun!
