The Break
By Simone

The rain came by night
And washed away the morning that was so bright
A few hours ago we seemed to have chances
And now I’m trying to cope with all those changes

The train came by day
To tear us apart, to take you away
Sunlight flooded the train station
And I struggled processing the situation

And in the evening
I still didn’t know one single thing
What to do, how to act
Is there an ancient lore to react?

And in the morning
I stared at pictures of you, thinking about kissing
And walking hand in hand with you
Pretending I didn’t have a clue

Rescue Now
By Simone

Blue busses that get us to work and to school
To earn the money and to learn all the rules
Our minds are still alive with fantasy
But we can’t divide it from TV

Chestnut bud and cherry plum
Trying to forget a lot
Gin Tonic and wine
But I can never forget what’s mine

And so I’m running with the masses
To work and to classes
With a heart that’s beating faster than it should
With a tongue that would speak if it could

Friday Night
By Simone

We’re the young and the restless
Making all the right decisions
Oh, we’re so young and breathless
Smart, pretty, save from ignition

But sometimes, we’re looking for romance
And so I’m hoping it’s your fascination
When you watch me dance
And not pure irritation

Because I can’t stand another fight
I might be clever but I believe in cupid
That’s my simple right
Tonight I wanna be stupid
