The Guide to a Perfect Sleepover
Written by: Christina

Are you having a sleepover and striving to make this night a night nobody will ever forget? From snacks, to movies to games-we’ve got you covered.

The Snacks
For this special night, yes it IS okay to pig out. Come on, it’s not everyday you have a sleepover. Buy tall, slender cups and make milkshakes, fill them with ice cream or get creative and make your own drink involving fruit, sugar and other yummy foods combined! Buy some Tostitos and salsa and dip away! You should seriously try Lays chips in cream cheese. I personally love it. Just be creative and try a whole bunch of new foods to make a delicious snack.

The Movies
Now, this is the tricky part. Considering I don’t know you or you friends, I have absolutely no idea what type of movies you all enjoy watching. If you’re into comedy, I really recommend She’s The Man or Dumb And Dumber (I have never watched it but apparently it’s hysterical.) If you like horror films good choices would be Final Destination 1-3, Scream 1-3, Freddy Krueger, Halloween…you get the picture.

A good idea would be to discuss what movie you all want to watch and then someone can go buy or rent it, or you can all hit the video stores together! Just make sure you have enough to last hours and hours!

The Games
Truth or Dare and Spin The Bottle aren’t the only entertaining games for sleepovers! You can also have board games (The Game of Life, Sorry! Scene It?, Guess Who..). If you and your friends are picky about board games, you can each bring your own and then play one or two rounds of each game.

Basically, what you really need is some good, enjoyable movies, junk food galore, and a few things to keep you entertained. As time passes by, you will think of more stuff to do. I remember once I was at my cousin’s sleepover and we took empty eyeliner tubes and mixed juice, water, shampoo-basically anything that’s liquid in the house and mixed it all up. Another time at my friend’s sleepover we put all our mattresses together and started doing hand-stands, jumping around on the mattresses, singing along to songs. Just have a good time and it will be a memory that will hold on to you for a long time.
