This isn't some school reading list full of dull autobiographies or historical non fiction. This is a list of classical and modern fiction that will make you laugh, make you cry and hopefully will be hard for you to forget. So if you're looking for some great reading this year, look no further!

In no particular order...



A Walk to Remember - Nicholas Sparks
You're bound to have seen the movie but the book is an entirely different work of beauty. In my opinion if the movie is good the book is near perfection.
A Walk to Remember is the story of seventeen-year-old Landon Carter and his relationship with Jamie Sullivan, a girl few understand, who changes him for the better.



East of the Sun Series - Linda Lee Chaiken
Set in the late 19th series this breathtaking trilogy ranges from a sleepy town in England to the wilds of South Africa, from heartwarming romance to South Africa's vast deposits of gold and diamonds and the greed that accompanies them. The books heroines Evy Varley and Rogan Chantry are appealing and hard to forget



The Anne Series - L.M Montgomery
Starting with the most famous title Anne of Green Gables to it's conclusion Rilla of Ingleside the Anne series is pure poetry about a spunky young girl and her life on Prince Edward Island in the early 20th century. With Romance and Humour this series has been loved by generations of woman since it was first published nearly a hundred years ago.



The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants - Ann Brashares
Dispite it's unusual name Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is a touching and memorable story about a group of best friends and their first summer apart, connected by their love for one another and a magical pair of pants they survive their heartbreaking, humorous and unforgettable summer of growing up.



The Princess Diaries Series - Meg Cabo
An entirely different entity from the Disney films the Princess Diaries book series are the zany, sometimes painful and always humorous diaries of 14-year-old Mia who discovers that she is the crown princess of a little known European country. She must juggle, princess lessons, paporazzi, love, school and family while always keeping her princessly cool.



Kezzie - Theresa Breslin
Kezzie and it's seqeuel A homecoming for Kezzie tell the story of a brave teenage girl surviving during the depression and war. When her younger sister is thought to be an orphan and taken to Canada to be adopted out Kezzi must travel half way around the world to keep her family together.



Mark of the Lion Series - Francine Rivers
This epic trilogy set in ancient Rome is both inspiring and touching. The story centers around three characters: Jewish slave Hadassah, arrogant Roman aristocrat Marcus and Gladiator Atrtetes and their journeys of faith and courage.



Kiss the Dust - Elizabeth Laird
Children's book award winner Kiss the Dust tells the story 14-year-old Tara a Kurdish girl living in the Iraq in the 80's and how entire world is turned upside down when her family must flee to Iran.
