90210

Ingredients (aka What's the Story?): "If you wanna live in the zip, you gotta live by the code", is the mantra of the much anticipated remake of the hit 90s teen drama. 90210 version 2.0. revolves around the Wilson family who move to Beverly Hills after father Harrison Wilson is made principal of West Beverly High, bringing the family closer to troubled grandmother Tabitha. Teenagers Annie and Dixon Wilson must adjust the move from small town Kansas to big city in California, and dealing with the rich and frivolous. Even if the remake has many fans sceptical, no doubt viewers will still watch just out of curiousity and to catch a glimpse of original characters. Kelly Taylor is now a guidance counsellor at West Beverly Hills High, while Brenda Walsh makes an appearance as director of the school play. And if the original is anything to go by, I'm sure you can expect drama galore!

Stir With (aka Starring): 90210 is certainly full of familiar faces! Apart from Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty reprising their roles of Kelly Taylor and Brenda Walsh respectively, we've got Tristan Wilds playing Dixon and Degrassi's Shenae Grimes as Annie. Dustin Milligan from Runaway plays jock Ethan, Jessica Stroup from Reaper plays the quirky Silver, and Ryan Eggold from Dirt plays spunky English teacher Ryan Matthews. Rob Estes, best known for his roles on Melrose Place and Women's Murder Club, plays Harry Wilson, while Lori Loughlin, best known from Full House and Summerland, plays his wife Debbie, and to round it off there's Arrested Development's Jessica Walter as grandmother Tabitha.

When her plans go haywire, she ends up finding a job as a live in tutor to stuck up and bratty twins, whose billionaire grandmother wants them to attend a prestigious university. As troublesome as the twins are, Megan is determined to stick it out and make a difference in the girls' lives.

Dollhouse

Ingredients: Echo is a doll who's part of an underground group known as the "Actives". The Actives perform various tasks, whether it be swimming, dancing, shooting with a gun, speaking another language. In a sense they are kind of humanized programmed robots where you can mind wipe them to do and be anything you want. With each new task or mission they get a new personality. However, once they become an "Active", their own personality is wiped out, so when they are not on a job they have no identity. The Actives don't realise this. However, when Echo starts to recall memories prior to becoming an Active, life gets complicated and discovery for the truth begins.

Stir With: Dollhouse is created by Joss Whedon, who created Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Serenity, so no doubt there are high expectations riding on this show. Eliza Dushku, who played Faith on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, as well as starring in the television show Tru Calling, and the film Bring It On, plays Echo. Also starring in Dollhouse are: Amy Acker (Angel, Alias), Dichen Lachman (Neighbours, Aquamarine), Olivia Williams (X-Men: The Last Stand), and Harry J. Lennix (Commander-In-Chief).

Sam's new boss in the 1970s doesn't believe that Sam is from the future. The Australian version is well-loved for its Australian humour and unique fashion sense, so it will be interesting to see the American slant of this.

Stir With: Molly Shannon from Saturday Night Live and Evan Almighty plays Kath, while Selma Blair from Hellboy 2 and Cruel Intentions plays the petulant Kim. John Michael Higgins, who plays Phil Knight, has also appeared in Evan Almighty and The Break-Up .

Knight Rider

Ingredients: This new television season seems to be the season of remakes, as Knight Rider is a remake of the hit 1980s television show revolving around the coolest car ever – KITT (Knight Industries Three Thousand). In the remake, we see Mike Traceur, estranged son of Michael Knight, the hero in the original series (who was played by David Hasslehoff) fight crime with KITT - an artificially intelligent Ford Shelby GT500KR, that is capable of hacking almost any system, with weapons systems match that of a jet fighter, and its body is capable of actually transforming into other vehicles and using sophisticated holographic imagery to elude villains. How cool is that?

Unfortunately for them, their actions don't always go as planned, leading them into hilarious situations.

This show is a comedy about the Valentines, a family of Greek gods in the contemporary world, who help soul mates get together while keeping their own identities a secret.
