#10. Stiles/Anyone [Teen Wolf]

Scott/Alison may be the conventional ship on the show, but I’m a sucker when it comes to anything Stiles. The guy has chemistry with everyone! There’s his unrequited love for Lydia – she may look down on him but you can tell that he’s starting to wear her down. I’ve adored all the scenes they’ve had together so far. I know there’s a fair few Stiles/Derek shippers out there and while I personally don’t ship them, I can see why they have a continually growing fanbase and will admit that I enjoy watching them two on screen together. Who knows, maybe with season two I’ll be converted? The of course there’s the bromance between Stiles and Scott. With so many options, now do you see why I’ll ship Stiles with everyone?

#9. Emily/Damon [Make It Or Break It]

I’m a sucker for love stories where the fierce and independent heroine lets down her walls and lets a guy into her life and the story between Emily and Damon is no exception. They started off as co-workers and she was dating his best friend until he left town, but not before asking Damon to look out for Emily. Damon got past Emily’s prickliness and the pair became closer and eventually got together. They broke up but then got back together, but only to split up again. Emily then realised she was pregnant with Damon’s baby, but after telling him she found out he kissed her best friend. So with her dreams shattered (she can’t compete in Worlds because she’s pregnant), she left town. In my mind Damon followed her and won her back and they lived happily ever after.

#8. Chuck/Sarah [Chuck]

During their first season Chuck and Sarah scraped in and made our Top 10. At this time, the pair weren’t even together and feelings were new and tentative. Now the show has ended and Chuck and Sarah got their happily ever after, but not without some bumps along the way. Season Three is one of my favourite seasons for these two. Yes it started off sad with Chuck choosing spylife over Sarah, then Sarah started seeing Shaw, but we got these amazing scenes like Sarah admitting she has loved Chuck all along. A few eps later he saved her life and then FINALLY they got together and it’s stayed that way ever since. Some would think that with the UST (unresolved sexual tension) gone that things would get boring. Wrong. Since then, Chuck and Sarah still make us laugh, gasp and happily sigh at their adorableness, and I think for that they don’t receive nearly as much recognition as they deserve.

#7. Hanna/Caleb [Pretty Little Liars]

Confession: I was not a Hanna/Caleb fan at first. In thought he was a bit skeezy and I HATED the fact that he was using poor unsuspecting Hanna! Then the truth was revealed and by then he had honestly fallen for Hanna. As he tried to prove he was for real and win back Hanna’s trust, he won me over too. People tend to scoff at young love. They say that young people don’t have the mentality or the years of experience to understand what love is. But the way that these two are always supporting each other is admirable and impressive. It’s one of the main reasons why I adore them so much. That and they’re pretty cute together.

#6. Ricky/Amy [The Secret Life of the American Teenager]

If you had told me when the show first started that I would be shipping these two, I would have laughed. He was a jerk and she was always crying. The tears didn’t stop in season two either, she was still crying over his actions in season two! But the duo did begin to mature and grow up and then into the show’s third season, Ricky and Amy finally got together and now they’re happily engaged. Who would have thought? I think the fact that their journey together has been such a progressive one is why they’re so appealing together. Imagine how different they’d be if they were together from the start of the show. Would their story have been so enthralling? Probably not. It’s the modern world – not everyone finds their soulmate when they’re 15, or at least is with them since the age of 15. People change and grow. Sometimes they drift apart from others and relationships crumble. I think that the build up these two is a testament to them and why fans adore them as much as they do. I just wish more people noticed that.

#5. Spencer/Toby [Pretty Little Liars]

Spencer and Toby were an odd match at first and definitely took me by surprise. Especially considering that when Emily was hanging around him, Spencer wasn’t exactly Toby’s biggest fan. But the thing about Spencer is that smart and sassy exterior aside, she’s got a good heart. When she realised that Toby wasn’t who she thought he was, she swallowed her pride and admitted she was wrong, reaching out to him. Thus the start of a beautiful friendship. As Spencer spent more time with Toby, she realised that they had more in common than they thought and it wasn’t before long that they fell for each other. These two are a pretty stable couple – apart from the recent minor breakup. And considering Spencer’s history, I have to admit that I’m surprised that these two have lasted as long as they have. (No offence Spencer.) But kudos to them. I love seeing them together and will be devastated if they ever break up again.

#4. Mike/Tina [Glee]

Mike and Tina have been together for a season and a half. By TV standards that’s pretty good, especially for a teenage relationship. By Glee standards, it’s a freakin’ miracle! Yet when it comes to polls, online buzz and heck even storylines – why do these two get no love? On a show known for its chop and change relationships, here’s a couple who are sweet, good to each other and don’t need to thrive on drama to keep their relationship going. I really wish these two would get more recognition so we could get deeper into who they are and thus widen their fanbase. Team Asians all the way!

Mike/Tina Fanvid – Everything:

#3. Nathan/Haley [One Tree Hill]

For the first two years of our Top 10 Young TV Ships Poll, Nathan and Haley dominated by a landslide. Then the following year they slid down to third, then fifth and then out of the top 10 altogether, which really saddened me. Maybe it was the lack of drama that had fans lose interest or take this ship for granted, but if anything, I think the stability and longevity of Nathan and Haley’s relationship is an accomplishment that shouldn’t be overlooked and definitely deserves recognition. Now with the show coming to an end, I would have hoped for one last hurrah as a tribute to everything they’ve endured over the past eight and a bit seasons – Nathan’s feud with Lucas, doubts surrounding their teenage marriage, Haley leaving town to go on tour, working out where their marriage stood when Haley returned, falling pregnant while still in high school, ghosts of past relationships, Nathan’s accident, a psycho nanny, dealing with Dan, Nathan’s NBA comeback and then retirement, Nathan returning to school, Haley’s mother death, Haley’s depression, adding a new member to the family and new career ventures. We’ve yet to see how everything ends for Nathan and Haley, but after everything they’ve been through they deserve nothing less than growing old together surrounded by great grandchildren. Always and Forever.

#2. Matt/Julie [Friday Night Lights]

Much like the show itself, Friday Night Light’s Matt and Julie are the little ship that could and don’t get nearly as much recognition as they deserve. They started off as innocent teenagers experiencing the joys of first love, but then true to life, Julie began to question is there more than this? Can you really find the one at 15 and be willing to be together forever here on in? Freaking out, she broke up with Matt. It took a while for the hurt to subside and both onto new partners. In season three, the two formed a tentative friendship, which then led to reigniting their relationship. All was going well and when it came to college, Matt stayed in Dillon for Julie and his grandmother. Then tragedy struck in season four and Matt left town to escape it all, leaving Julie behind. He eventually returned, but then it was Julie’s turn to find herself. But if it’s meant to be, it will be and the pair found their way back to each other and by the series end they were engaged. These two appeal so much to me because their relationship feels real: finding love at a young age but then breaking up because that’s what you are - young and there’s so much in life that has yet to be discovered and it’s all waiting for you. Sometimes love isn’t enough. Sometimes it’s about timing and opportunities. Nonetheless, I do believe that if it’s meant to be, it will be. You just have to let it happen in its own way.

Matt/Julie Fanvid – Enchanted:

#1. Cappie/Casey [Greek]

If there’s one thing that’s baffled me over the years, it’s that Cappie and Casey have never made our Top 10. Year after year when the final results come in, I’ve always been left disappointed. Here’s a ship that not only has its angsty moments, but also its sweet moments and flirty banter – why aren’t more people jumping on board and supporting this ship? Their story has kept me enthralled right from day one – she was the straightlaced perfectionist and he was the charming slacker. They used to date but she couldn’t deal with the fact that he wouldn’t grow up. She had plans and ambitions for the future and he didn’t. But feelings are a tricky thing to fight and so the two often found themselves in sexual tension moments without officially being together. It’s not just about the sexual tension when it comes to these two, but also the flirty banter and the way they know each other in a way that nobody else can. When Cappie and Casey FINALLY got together in season three, we also witnessed a sweet aspect to the pair – Cappie’s Valentine’s Day present anyone? * swoon * Although the pair split up again at the end of the season, by the show’s end they reunited and proved to be stronger than ever with both willing to compromise and change for each other – him graduating and her leaving Cyprus Rhodes not knowing what the future holds. Endgame!
