About Me: I was born October 5 1989 and I’m currently still in high school. I love fashion. I make some of my own clothes whether it’s from a pattern or it’s just me winging it. I also love to make purses. During the school year I have a job placement at a fabric store to earn school credits and during the summer I work there a couple days a week.
I have some medical problems that have me at an adult learning school where I can work at my own pace and take as many days off as I need. I’m currently doing well because of having the right medications for endometriosis (I had surgery to help control it in January 2006); I also have an anxiety disorder, and chronic fatigue to name the big ones.
I’m a little strange and my best friend is my mom.

I'm your basic highschooler: somebody still trying to figure out who she is in theisbig world. I have a passion for ice hockey, as well as writing, movies, and music. Ice hockey has been a part of my life since I was three; I've been figure skating for just as long. Mike Knuble? Yeah, he's my hero. Taylor Swift, Mandy Moore, and Ashley Tisdale are all my role models. I look up to them, even though they're not much older than I am. I enjoy making graphics in my free time. I'm pretty sure I want to become a magazine editor when I "grow up." Yet, that can always change--nothing is set in stone yet.
I do love celebrities and fashion. They're everyday people, though. The only difference is that they have a multi-million dollar paycheck. My dream job would have to be an actor. I've enjoyed acting for a very long time. I'd also enjoy directing movies and music videos. I design my own clothes and jewlery, too. A last fact, that is definitely unknown to a lot of people, is that I am ninty percent sure that I am going to marry a hockey player. Sidney Crosby or some guy that's in my gym class, it doesn't matter much. They're all perfect.

Hello ^_^. My name is Kelly, and I'm out to become a journalist. I'm a home schooler. My dry erase board is always covered with various assignment due dates, article/column deadlines, and random quotes. I'm a shy and eccentric one. I frequently nod my head and use exaggerated facial expressions when on the phone, even when the caller can't see me. Piggy banks make me smile. I have an unhealthy addiction for music, you'll always see me holding my Zune or attached to my computer with headphones. I hope to add my own unique touch to Portrait magazine: a bit of whimsy.

Hi! My name is Julie and I’ve recently turned 16. I’m a huge writing and reading freak. Some of my favorite books include the Uglies Trilogy, The Midnighters Trilogy, and the Twilight series. My absolute favorite author is Scott Westerfeld. My passion for writing all started when I was in 7th grade. I was in class when the weirdest story idea sparked into my head. On The Road to Eating Healthy Columnist

I was born on April 27 and I've always loved writing. Writing has always been a passion for me. It's something I've found relaxing and a way to get away from everything else. During my spare time I like to hang out with my family and listen to music. My favorite animal is a seal. Any kind, it doesn't matter, I love them all. I am currently attending High School and I'm not sure what I want to major in. I've gone from medical to law and many others. Now it's down to either journalism or the arts. I might double major but I doubt it. Here are some fun facts about me:
My favorite artist is Alexz Johnson. She's amazing and really knows how to touch a person's heart with her music.
I'm a really great cook. Some people come over and hesitate before eating one of my meals, but before they know it they're at my door everyday wanting something else. I also make killer burritos!
Nutrition is one of my main hobbies/passion (besides journalism). I'm always eating healthy and looking for new information to learn and I can't wait to share with all of you everything I know, it's going to blow your mind!
As much as I love being healthy, I'm not a big exerciser. I'm in pretty good shape, but sometimes I can be a real procrastinator and I'm really lazy. As important as it is to exercise, I always find a reason not to do it.
