Fashion Spotlight:
The 2010 Grammy Awards Style Stand Outs

Sunday, January 31st, the stars gathered in Los Angeles for the annual Grammy Awards. While most outfits stood out in a sophisticated, stylish kind of way, some stood out in the completely opposite way. Music’s biggest stars may be able to hit all of the right notes, but can they hit all of the right red carpet looks?

Taylor Swift

The four-award-winning country superstar stood out on the red carpet in a shimmering, blue Kaufman Franco gown. During her performance with the great Stevie Nicks, Taylor wore a Rebecca Taylor tunic and Citizens of Humanity jeans.

Lady Gaga

Always one to stand out, Lady Gaga showed up on the red carpet in a custom made Giorgio Armani Prive gown. The “Bad Romance” singer opened the show with a performance with Elton John.

Beyonce

Beyonce won a total of six awards on Grammys night out of the ten she was nominated for. The golden girl wore a Stephane Rolland gown while on the red carpet. During her performance, she looked anything but “like a boy” in her Versace Atelier mini-dress.

Miley Cyrus

The seventeen year old presenter looked older than her age in her Herve Leger dress. She paired her dress with Balenciaga heels and a Judith Leiber bag. While not nominated for anything, Miley introduced the Black Eyed Peas’ performance.

February 3rd, Hilary Duff looked cute in a white top, black vest, and a dark scarf as she left a house in Hollywood.

Jenna Dewan

Jenna looked gorgeous in a black, strapless gown at the premiere of husband, Channing Tatum’s film, Dear John on February 1st.

Vanessa Hudgens

February 3rd, Vanessa stepped out in a casual outfit, wearing skinny jeans, a camisole and boots.

The Super, The So-So, and The Seriously Should Think Again:

The Super
Alexa Vega

Alexa showed off her engagement ring at the premiere of Dear John (just like Tiffany Thornton), and looked beautiful in a sleeveless dress with a black belt and cutout heels.

The So-So
Victoria Beckham

The designer looked fashionable in a black dress, stockings and heels as she went into LAX airport on February 2nd to catch a flight.

The Seriously Should Think Again
Mary-Kate Olsen

The actress-turned-designer left her apartment in New York on February 4th. We’re not positive if her red “blob” is a jacket or something else. While usually wearing something trendy, Mary-Kate disappointed.

Hint and Tip of the Week:
Hint and Tip of the Week:
Unlike Victoria Beckham, you don’t always have to be dressed up. If you feel like having a “bum” day, go for it! Even if you’re not much of a sweatpants/hoodie girl, try leggings and an oversized hoodie. You can always wear jeans and a t-shirt, like Danielle, Vanessa and Hilary. If you want to be comfortable and casual, but you still want to look good, try comfy clothes and a nice necklace or sweater.
