Well hello hello my name is Alexa Vega :-)
Hi Alexa! How are you today
Pretty good! Suuuper busy! We are surprising my mom with a hugggge Christmas present!
Ooh and what would that be?
We are redecorating the whole house while she is gone, I hired someone to come today lol
Wow now that really is a super Christmas present
Krizia and I haven't gone to sleep yet because while my mom was sleeping, we moved all the furniture out of the house lol

What got you into acting?
My mom was a model and she had a shoot in California, so we both flew out here from FL. I was only four and her best friend came with us. Her best friend snuck me to an audition because my mom didn't want me to be an actor but I ended up getting the job and it was on a TV show for two years. I have been very blessed lol
You also do a bit of singing too don't you? How did you get into that?
It was all kind of just a joke thing. I was always singing and dancing on the set of spy kids and Robert, the director, was like hey...lets make a video. We all laughed at first, then two weeks later he’s like seriously ...let’s make a video.
Since you have experienced both areas, which do you prefer and why?
They are two completely different feelings. With acting, it’s this sense of accomplishment and it takes a lot longer to get that satisfaction. With performing on stage like a concert… it’s that instant gratification.
What are your inspirations when you work?
I love thinking of what my life will be like in twenty years and I know that when I am working, if I slack off just a little...it could easily affect my future. So the future and what it holds is my inspiration ....because I can make that easier or harder with how I approach things now.
What are the ups and downs of the business in your opinion?
Ummm I think there are a lot of negative people in this business whose hearts are not in the right places and that can really pull you down when you are surrounded by that day in and day out...but luckily I have an amazing family by my side. The ups are the accomplishments and fans; and of course...all the free stuff.
What’s the best freebie you've ever gotten?
My Nintendo wii. I’m addicted!! Hahah we got it early too! My friends hated me for it.
What are your hopes for 2007?
A Tony award would be pretty sweet haha! Nah...just to get through this play having learned a lot and to stay in shape.
Who are your role models and why?
Natalie Portman and Gary Oldman are my role models for acting because without a doubt they are bloody brilliant!
What are you passions/concerns for the world?
I think global warming is a huge issue not to be taken lightly. I think that no matter what you believe in ...it’s an issue we should all be concerned about.

Sean Patrick Flanery, incredible actor and an all around great guy. Robert Rodriguez the director of spy kids, he’s like my dad.
If you could do anything for one day, what would it be?
Sky diving!!! I am dying to goooooo

What has been the scariest/most embarrassing thing that you've ever had to do on set?
Probably the scariest thing I had to do was fight fake skeletons on an eight hundred foot drop cliff for spy kids 2. Embarrassing....I am always falling on set… I’m a klutz

haha.. Falling lol
What’s the nicest thing a fan has said to you?
When people come up to me and tell me that Odd Girl Out has really helped them it is the most amazing thing I can hear... It means that you made a difference and to me that is why I do my job... to make a difference
