How did your acting career start?
When I was 4, I recited a whole episode from my favourite TV show. My mum enrolled me in a performing arts academy. At 8, after begging my mum, I got an agent and a manager and I was lucky enough to book my first theatrical audition.

What are the best parts/worst parts of acting?
One of the best parts is getting to portray a character that’s completely unlike myself. I love creating new people and getting to step out of myself. One of the worst parts is the long hours but if you love what you’re doing, it’s all worth it. The rejection is also hard but you can’t take it personally.

So do you also sing and dance?
I do indeed!

Are you planning to start a singing career or focusing on the acting?
Right now I want to focus on acting but I’ve always had a passion for singing so who knows what will happen in the future!

Have you ever considered doing theatre?
I’ve thought about it but I personally love film. I love theatre as well though so if someone approached me, I’d love to do it.

Who’s the coolest celebrity you’ve met?
I went to the premiere of Pride and Prejudice a few years ago and Keira Knightley was there and she did a Q&A afterwards, so I got to go and talk to her and took a picture with her! It was so much fun! I also recently met Jason Mraz so that was awesome!

Who do you most want to work with?
There’s a lot of people out there that I’d be honoured to work with, like Johnny Depp or Cate Blanchett, but right now I want to work with any hard working actor that enjoys the profession like I do.

How do you balance your acting career and your regular life?
Sometimes it’s hard because you get so caught up and you can’t do everything you want to do, especially during pilot season, but I try to do the best I can. I try to achieve all my goals and have fun too.

What advice would you give upcoming actors?
If you have the acting bug, then never let it go. Keep pursuing and don’t give up. I didn’t work from the ages to 15-17 but I kept doing it and then I booked Passions!

Hollywood is known for its fakeness. What’s your opinion on that?
There are a lot of fakes in Hollywood but not everyone is fake. I have a group of down to earth friends. There are some wonderful people here. You just have to weed out the fakes.

Have you ever had to deal with fake friends?
Yeah I’ve had a few who were fellow actors. It’s tough but you have to accept them for who you are and if you don’t want to be friends with them, you just move on.

Young actors have been getting a bad reputation lately due to some stars going wild. Do you have any intense party urges?
Not really. I’m a pretty laid back person. I like going to dinner, watching movies, playing scrabble etc…

Tell us a bit about the show Passions.
Passions is a soap opera but it’s not your average day time drama. It’s set in a town called Harmony and we have some crazy story lines! I actually watched it for about a year in 2003 so it was cool getting a part in the show.

What’s your character like?
My character is called Viki and she’s very complex. When I first started, she was very introverted and mysterious. She actually didn’t speak a word for some episodes. She would whisper to her aunt and her aunt would speak for her. Now as the story line is progressing, she’s letting her true colours show. It turns out Viki is a serial killer! She wants her aunt all to herself and she’s afraid that she will be sent to boarding school, so she kills all of her aunt’s boyfriends. She has a reason at heart for why she’s doing it, but it’s still no way to deal with your problems.

Are you similar to Viki in any way?
Well I can honestly say no to this. She’s really needy and she goes to drastic measures to get what she wants. I’m much more reasonable than her.

What was your best moment during filming?
There was an episode, which I think is airing soon, that I had to do some physical comedy with someone. They had to be dead weight and I had to move them so I was pushing, pulling, moving them and I ended up on the floor trying to move him. So when the director yelled cut, the whole set started cracking up and I felt really accomplished.

Have you ever had any embarrassing moments on set?
I honestly can’t think of any embarrassing moments. It’s surprising!

Have you ever had a Crush on someone on set?
Since most of my co-stars are a little bit older than me, I’m going to have to say no. I mean they’re all very attractive but no crushes.

Who was your favourite co-star?
Erin Cardillo who played my aunt was amazing. She was really fun to work with. Also Phillip Jeanmarie who plays Vincent, the other serial killer in town. He’s really fun to work with!

Which was your favourite episode to film?
I’d have to say the one that had a fantasy flashback about the 50’s. I had a pink poodle skirt, awesome hair etc. It was amazing! I even got to keep the skirt!

What do you look for in a guy?
Personality is a big thing! Someone’s who’s outgoing and has a big personality! If you’re confident, you’ll stand out.

Are you single?
I am not. I have been in a relationship for a while.

Describe your best date.
My boyfriend took me to the park on our 6 month anniversary. We had a nice little picnic and remembered the times we’ve been through together. I’m a sucker for simple things.

Have you ever had a bad date?
Nothing terrible to be honest. I guess just going to a movie and really feeling disconnected to the person you’re with. That’s about as bad as it gets.

Who would be your perfect date [celeb crush]?
When I was younger, I had the biggest crush on Leonardo DiCaprio!

Have you ever had any fashion disasters?
Looking back, yeah. I look back and think what on earth was I thinking! But you grow up and figure out what suits you and what doesn’t.

Do you have any beauty tips?
I wash my face every night. I’m really lucky to have good skin. I keep my hair and make up pretty simply. A bit of foundation, blush, some mascara…for night time I’ll do something more bold.

If you were a super hero, who would you be?
I would be able to go anywhere in the world whenever I wanted. No traffic or anything! I would be the best superhero ever!

If you could go anywhere, where would you go?
I currently have a fascination with France so I’d like to go to the south of France.

What are your hobbies?
Making short movies and videos, editing and playing guitar.

If you were stuck on a desert island with only three things, what would they be?
I would bring a fridge with a never ending supply of gourmet cuisine cooked to perfection and at my disposal whenever I wanted, a computer stocked with music, videos, pictures etc and my boyfriend.

I’m left handed!
I’m slightly allergic to dairy products.

What’s your best piece of advice?
I know its cliché but follow your dream because you only get one life, so make the most of it.

What do you find more boring than watching paint dry?
Waiting for a long extended period of time.

What’s the strangest thing you’ve had in your mouth?
A chilli covered mango slice! It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

How would you survive a crocodile attack?
I would distract him with a mind boggling magic trick and make him disappear!

If you had to choose, would you rather live without knee joints or elbow joints?
Definitely without elbow joints because I have to keep walking! I could live without flaying my arms around! I might look like a penguin though…
