Hey! May you please introduce yourself?
Hi! I am AnnaSophia Robb
What got you into acting?
I have always wanted to act. I love to express myself and become characters. It’s really fun, and sometimes I learn more about myself.
What are your inspirations when you work?
I try to get into the mind of my character. I have to feel what they feel, so the character is real. Good acting isn't really acting, it's "being".
Which has been your favorite role to play and why?
I love all the characters that I have played. They are all so different and it stretches me as a person. I have really enjoyed playing Tara in Ferris Wheel, and Cassie in A West Texas Children's Story, because of the heaviness and depth to their characters. But I have also really enjoyed playing Leslie in Bridge to Terabithia because of how free-spirited and happy she is.
What are the ups and downs of the business in your opinion?
The ups: meetings incredibly wonderful, talented, fun, smart, interesting people. That is the best part of making movies for sure. Also, I get to express myself and try to dig deep to find myself in certain characters.
The downs: being gone from home and missing my family and friends. Missing out on school stuff, missing the ski season, not being able to stay in a dance class or gymnastic for a whole season.
Though you're only young, you're already very famous. How does that feel?
I do not "feel" famous. I am just a kid who has made a few movies. Someday, hopefully, because of my recognition as an actor, I might be able to have a bigger voice, to get a message out to help more people in the world.
What are your hopes for 2007?
I have a long list of world issues I could address, but do you mean personally? Personally, I would like to finish up the 7th grade at school. I would like to get some snow boarding in, I hope to make a few new movies that are great meaty films; I want to define and implement my goals for helping under-served children in America and abroad; and I hope my Aunt Terri's cancer is cured and my grandparents’ health is better.

Who are your role models and why?
I have a couple of role models. I just worked with Charlize Theron on Ferris Wheel this past December. She is an incredible person and an amazing actor. She chooses projects that have spirit and depth to her characters. She has helped me to develop the way I approach my work. Hillary Swank is also my mentor. Working with her on The Reaping was an awesome experience. She also has helped me to go deep mentally and find those "dark" places. Also, I look up to Mia Farrow. She not only is an accomplished actor, but she does so much nonprofit work, and really does a ton to help save the world. In-fact, all of the woman I listed above, do a great many thing to try and help the world. I admire so many great actors, but these women have been close and meaningful to me.
What has been the scariest/most embarrassing thing that you've ever had to do on set?
In Charlie, I slipped and put my foot in the chocolate river. Everyone was waiting for me to change my shoes and socks to finish the scene.
Any embarrassing moments on set?
There have been a lot of different embarrassing moments on set. I am fairly clumsy, just tripping, cracking jokes that no one laughs at except me. Stuff like that, nothing too huge... yet.
You've met a lot of cool people through your line at work. Out of all of them, who are your top ones and why?
Charlize Theron, because we became such great friends. She spent a lot of time with me off the set which is rare with adults and kids. Also, Stephen Hopkins, because he is a brilliantly powerful director. He is a clear thinker and can lead the crew to get great work out of them. When I saw some of the completed scenes of The Reaping, I was blown away. He is such a cool and fun guy to work with; he always took time to talk with me and be a human-being.
If you could do anything for one day, what would it be?
I think it would have to be... to be able to fly really fast. That would be so much fun, and I would be able to go all around the world and visit people I love in one day!
Tell us a random fact about you.
I am really good at tongue twisters.
