Eleni: Hey Brie! Thanks so much for agreeing to this interview! How are you today?
Brie: Very much rad.

Eleni: What have you done today?
Brie: Umm lets see. I woke up around 12, made a soy sandwich, wrote a song, had a meeting, tripped over a suitcase, and called my best friend.

Eleni: What got you into acting/singing?
Brie: I kinda got myself into acting, I was realling into Gone With The Wind when I was about 3, I knew all the words. I begged my mom to let me act, she said if I took acting class for a year she would let me. I did it and, I did it. Music is something that I just, more-or-less fell into.

Eleni: Which did you do first, acting or singing?
Brie: Acting.

Eleni: Since you have experienced both areas, which do you prefer and why?
Brie: I don't "prefer" either, they are both amazing ways to express yourself. Along with painting, and sewing and walking dogs and other lovely activities.

Eleni: What are your inspirations when you work?
Brie: Well I have this hat and attached to it is this pole, and attached to the end of the pole is a carrot. I work towards that carrot. Keeps things exciting.

Eleni: What are the ups and downs of the business in your opinion?
Brie: There are so many of both. It would take hours to explain the emotions that go into either. So I'd just have to say, when you work hard and it doesn't work out, thats a down. And when you work hard and it DOES work out, thats an up. The ups out weight the downs. If you have a healthy perspective.

Eleni: What have been your best and worst moments in your career?
Brie: I wouldn't know, I've only lived 17 years. I don't have much to compare to.

Eleni: Who are your role models and why?
Brie: Bob Dylan. Dave Eggars. Nick Zinner. Sylvia Plath. All people who paved their own roads rather than use the ones provided with easy marked signs.

Eleni: Do you have any passions/concerns for the world?
Brie: Do I? Do I! The youth of america is fleeting! We need to read more. We need to paint on our ceilings.

Eleni: Describe yourself in 3 words
Brie: I'm. In. Trouble.

Eleni: You’ve met a lot of cool people through your line at work. Out of all of them, who are your top 3 and why?
Brie: Oh wow. I kinda feel bad about that question. Most of the "cool" people I've met have become dear friends. I'd hate to sell them out. Can I say that meeting Maggie, the mathematician dog was a highlight? Because it was.

Eleni: You recently acted in a movie called Hoot. Can you tell us a bit about behind the filming, acting with Logan Lerman, Cody Linley and Luke Wilson; how was that? Did you become close friends? Tell us about your experience.
Brie: It was amazing. Cody is still one of my closest friends. Logan is like a little puppy. I look at him and just melt. I want to put him in my pocket and never let him out. I was just looking at videos last night from the movie. Cody, Logan, And I all had matching video cameras. I think I have about 20 tapes of footage. A lot of it would embarrass us if it got out. Haha.

Eleni: You used to date Cody Linley if I’m not mistaken. Are you currently single?
Brie: Doesn't matter.

Eleni: What do you like to do in your spare time?
Brie: Paint. Laugh. Take pictures. Eat Dilly Bars. Go to concerts. Talk on the phone for hours. Avoid showering.

Eleni: What is your favourite type of music and who are your favourite singers/bands?
Brie: Eeek. I love this question. Right now my favorites are: Zombies, Wilco, Otis Redding, The Morning Benders(Hi Chris!), David Bowie, XTC, and of course Simon Dawes. That one is kind of a give in.

Eleni: Where’s the best place you’ve ever been on holiday and when did you go?
Brie: I've never really been anywhere exciting besides Mexico and Canada. But I plan on living in Paris for awhile when I'm older.

Eleni: Okay I’m going to ask you some random and fun questions. Would you rather be bald for 3 weeks or have your hair semi-permanently dyed white so you looked like a granny?
Brie: BALD. I've actually been talking a lot about shaving my head. Hair is so gross.

Eleni: If you could do anything for one day, what would it be?
Brie: I would have unlimited money to spend at Amoeba/Barnes&Noble. And all my friends would be there! And The Kinks would play the song "All Of My Friends Were There" while we shopped.

Eleni: If you were stuck on a desert island with only three things, what would they be and why?
Brie: My Guitar, because if I'm stuck on an island I might as well write some good music for an Island-based record. A subscription to McSweeneys, so that I have current things to read and gawk over. And a BBQ of continuous garlic shrimp, for obvious reasons.

Eleni: Tell us a random fact about you that we can’t find on the internet.
Brie: Well if I tell you, it WILL get on the internet and what’s the fun in that.

Eleni: What would you rather eat, a huge bag of squishy marshmallows or a bag of gummy bears?
Brie: Marshmallows, just because it’s more fun to say.

Eleni: How many grapes can you fit into your mouth before you explode (or choke)?
Brie: 73. I won first place.

Eleni: Vanilla or chocolate?
Brie: VANILLA. Are you joking?!

Eleni: You’re in charge of inventing a new drink, what would you put into it and what would you call it?
Brie: I'd crush light bulbs and call it a Brilliant Idea.

Eleni: You have the opportunity to make a new ice-cream flavour, what flavour is it going to be?
Brie: Its going to beeeee.......uhh.....Candy Corn flavored. Perfect for Halloween.

Eleni: What’s the funniest thing you’ve ever seen?
Brie: Type in my name on youtube. Every video is laughable.

Eleni: Have you ever had this urge to laugh really loudly when a place was totally quiet? If yes, give us details.
Brie: It's quiet right now and I'm laughing, but only because I'm watching myself on youtube.

Eleni: Know any good party tricks like going cross-eyed or something?
Brie: I always win pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey. But it’s because I cheat. EVERYTIME. Blindfold. Schmindfold.

Eleni: And lastly, this is something everyone should know, what’s the craziest dare you’ve ever done and who dared you to do it?
Brie: Last week I was dared to clean the Simon Dawes van. Words cannot describe the smells I smelt. The things I had to pick up with my bare hands. Like, old PB&J sandwiches and socks. Boys are SO gross.

Eleni: Thanks so much for this interview! How can your fans contact you?
