Could you start by telling us alittle about yourself?
Sure thing! What's up guys, I'm Chris Koon…and every time someone asks this question, I feel like I’m on a dating game…hahaha. No, in all seriousness, I’m just a guy who loves performing.

How did you start performing?
I grew up doing musical theater in church, and that's really where I fell in love with it. I got into acting classes, did the show choir thing through school, picked up dance through that, and everything just kind of snowballed from there. The rest, I guess, is history!

How long have you been performing?
I've been performing all my life...I did my first musical when I was like 5 or 6, so it's been a part of my life since I can remember.

Do you have any album out yet or working on one? If so tell us a little about it!
Nothing like that these days! Right now, I'm just concentrating on acting and dance. :)

Do you also write your own songs?
I do write from time to time! I actually did some co-writing with a friend of mine who is actually a recording artist on an independent label. There were never any plans to use those songs for her album, but it's such a great creative outlet. It’s like free therapy…hahaha!

What is the best part about performing live?
The rush you get onstage is indescribable. The lights, the crowd...everything. It's seriously unlike anything else you'll ever experience in your life. It's amazing. You don't get that with film.

Who are some of your musical influences?
I'm into so much music right now...it's so hard to pick! I love everything from swing and jazz to rock to pop - I'm all over the place, really. I'm a sucker for the big female voices...Christina...Kelly...and I'm a big fan of Nikki Flores. She just has a really cool tone to her voice. And then I would be lying if I said I wasn't influenced by the Jonas Brothers...those guys are some of the best friends you could ask for. But yeah, it's so hard to narrow it down. Music is a powerful thing...

Who would you say your biggest hero is and why?
My mom is amazing. She is probably the strongest person I know. I don't know how she does it.

What should we expect to see from you in the future?
You know what? I'd love to do some more TV. I'd really like to do a sitcom...something fun like "Boy Meets World" or "Home Improvement". There aren't many shows like that on nowdays, and I'd really like to make something that you can sit down and watch with your friends or family and just enjoy.

Do you have any upcoming tours planned?
I'm actually gonna head out on a small-scale promotional tour sometime this fall! I'm really excited about getting out on the road and meeting everyone!

Do you have a website/myspace where fans can check you out?
I do! I'm on MySpace all the time talking to people! It's www.myspace.com/chriskoon and then the new ChrisKoon.com will be re-launching later this fall!

What do you like to do other than performing?
My friends are so important to me, so when I'm not working, I try to spend as much time with them as possible. Even if it's just driving around talking, it's important to me that I have time for that kind of stuff.

If you were giving a piece of advice to aspiring performers what would it be?
Make it happen! Keep working your craft - take classes, get involved with community theater, talent shows, productions at your school - do as much as you can! And do it for you - don't do it for anybody else. Just keep doing your thing and never give up...you never know what could happen! :)

Is there anything you would like to tell your fans?
This past year has been incredible, and they’re the ones I have to thank for it! Thank you for standing by my side, not only as a performer, but as a person. Through the ups and the downs, you guys have been there for me, and I can't thank you enough! You all are the best!!!
