May you please introduce yourself.
Hey my name is Courtney Taylor Burness!
What got you into acting?
Actually my grandfather got me into acting. When I was 2 he said that I listened really well so I should get into acting because he did a lot of theatre when he was a kid. I started going up to NY because we lived in PA at the time and we were freelancing with a bunch of agents. Then I think I was about 7 when we settled down with one.
What has been your favourite role to play?
I really liked playing Bridget in Premonitions because it was a drama and it was filmed on location. I got to work with Sandra Bullock and Julian McMahon! I also liked working on Deal which was a pilot and was comedy. I also got to work with some cool people! I got to have two fake brothers too!
What are the ups and downs of the acting business in your opinion?
The advantages are that you get to meet lots of amazing people, you get to travel to lots of places and probably the disadvantages are that if you go to a regular school, you get pulled out of school early and stuff like that.
Though you’re only young, you’re already quite famous. How do you feel?
I actually didn’t know I’m famous but it’s cool when people come up to you and ask you for your autograph and tell you you did a great job! It feels really good.
Have you ever had an embarrassing moment with a fan?
No actually I haven’t but a lot of people have been coming up to me since Premonitions, like I went to see it with my friends and there a lot of people who came up to me to tell me I did a great job and to ask for my autograph. They seemed embarrassed about it but I was like sure. Then they’re like thanks I’m going to keep this forever!
Who are your role models?
Probably Barbara Park because when I was little she wrote really funny books that made me want to read.
Do you like reading? What genre?
I love reading! My bookcase is absolutely packed! I love all kinds of books, funny books, books like Almanac because they tell you lots of cool facts! I also like fantasy books! They’re really cool!
What has been the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you on set?
Well on Deal, I sneezed during one take and it was a bloody sneeze because it was really dry on set. The actress who played my mum on set said, “oh you can just wipe it on my pants” and then she noticed the blood and she’s like “okay can you get some tissues?” I don’t I want to wipe a bloody nose on my pants either!
Who’s the coolest person you’ve met through acting?
Sandra Bullock because she was really nice and funny. Jullian McMan because he treated me like his own daughter and Jason Reitman because he’s really laid back and cool!
If you could do anything for one day, what would it be?
I’d like to go on a wild animal safari where I’d get to pet all sorts of cool animals like hippos, monkeys etc! As long as they don’t bite my head off!
What’s the nicest thing a fan has said to you?
“OMG Courtney I loved your work! You did such a great job!”

Me and my parents actually wrote a screen play together!

I’d probably be Kim Possible because she saves the day by using only her brain!
What are your concerns for the world?
My concerns are that a lot of koalas are getting attacked in Australia by dogs so I’d like to open a koala hospital. I think that’d be really cool to treat koalas that were attacked and then release them into the wild again.
Do you have any pets?
No but I really want a dog! I love Norfolk terriers!
