I am the creator of the show and it’s based on 9 of the actors I represent and their growing careers. Each of them started when they were kids or young adults and they are all working on TV shows, movies, commercials, they’re doing the red carpet, they’re featured in a variety of magazines, going to film premieres. We’re now in our very conscience celebrity society and culture. So I created the show that would take my clients to the next celebrity level.
How will this show take them to the next level?
It’s been great because I’ve starred in a reality show of my own already and I am a recognized man in Hollywood. I go to a lot of premieres myself. We wanted to create our own show. The kid’s careers are growing but I am a producer and basically all good managers die to become producers and I basically want to produce something that I will be in charge of and something I will be able to determine how my clients are seen in Hollywood.
How will people be able to see this show?
The show is first starting out as an internet show therefore it will be online. This was very deliberate. The internet is this whole new media that has international access and I have been asked by a number of producers, TV shows and networks to follow my clients around but I have wanted to go to the internet first and then do television. There is a second reality show that may be following us around, one of the major networks, but I’m very deliberate to use the internet first.
When will the show be aired?
The show will launch in the summer, late July or first of august. We’re doing some very exciting things! We’re flying to one of the islands here in the mainland, I have a client there who’s a noted and well-known golfer and we’ll be following him around. I’m taking one of my clients who was in the film “The Color Purple,” to New York to see the musical “The Color Purple” that Oprah Winfrey is currently producing. I have a client that will play the piano in the fairytale, “Sapphire” in Panama, and another client is starring in “The Lion King” in Hong Kong. We were just on television, German television, promoting a nickelodeon show and weeks before that we were on French television! We have a wonderful international appeal that we’re very proud of. It’s very busy! In fact our web designer is from Romania and although we’ve never met, she designs all of my present websites and she will have a significant role in designing this website. It is called www.creatingcelebrity.com and www.myspace.com/creatingcelebrity. It’s the number one show online! The thing with this is that you’ll be seeing my clients on the net. This is cross marking. They’re already in movies and television and what happens on this show is that you’ll be able to interact with them. They’ll have blogs on there and they will talk with their fans and then you’ll see them on the TV show. We might follow them around in an audition or a TV show or movie and then you’re going to see the client in the movie. Not only will my reality show be on TV but you’re going to see my clients in a variety of TV shows and movies as you would anyway. No-one is doing it! I’m the only one doing it! We have a few surprises! I haven’t mentioned it all! This is going to be unlike anything you’ve ever seen before! I’ve got some very compelling characters and we’re also raising awareness. One of the kids on the show has a sister that has Autism. He goes to audition after audition, and his sister will on occasion have an outburst or become upset, and he has to still give it his best. Another client just booked a new pilot called “Breaking Bad,” that would air on AMC if picked up by the cable network. He has cerebral palsy, a birth defect. So I have some kids that have beat the odds and young actors that really are going to be tomorrow’s next big stars!
