Introduce yourself...
My name is Forrest Landis and I am 12 yrs old. I live in both Indianapolis, Indiana and Studio City, California. I am in the 6th grade and my favorite thing to do besides acting is skateboarding.
What got you into acting??
I was watching the movie BIG DADDY with Adam Sandler and the scene where he and the little boy are whizzing on the side of a building, I was probably 6 yrs old, and I told my mom, "I want to do that!" And she said, "What--pee on the side of a building?" and I said "NO-I want to act in a movie like that kid." My mom told me I could do anything I put my mind to and who was to know I would be acting!!
What are your inspirations when you work?
I love meeting new people on every project and some of them have become like family. It is always great to make new lifelong friends!
Which was your favorite role to play & why??
Mark Baker in Cheaper by the Dozen is my favorite role. I loved working with all the animals and it was really cool having so many brothers and sisters in the cast. Plus, Mark Baker will always be a special character since it was my first.
What are the ups & downs of the business?
The upside is that when I am working I only have to do 3hrs of school a day when I am on set. The down side would be not having enough time to hang with my friends when I am working.
Though you're only young, you're already famous. How does that feel?
I don't see myself as famous. I am just a normal kid who loves to act, and I have been very lucky to be apart of the projects that I have done. I still think it's really weird when people recognize me!
What is your biggest hope for 2007?
My biggest hope for this year is that my movie Doubting Thomas gets into theaters! It is my first lead role in a feature film, and I am Thomas! It is a really great kid’s movie I did with Anna Sophia Robb.
Who are your role models and why?
Steve Martin is my biggest role model in this business. Cheaper by the Dozen was my first movie and Steve was so good to me during the filming. He taught me how important it is to stay grounded and the importance of being a real kid.
Your scariest/most embarrassing thing you've had to do on set??!!
Nothing that I can think of! There's not much that scares me and I don't embarrass easily.

You've met a lot of cool people, who are your favorite?
I really loved having Bonnie Hunt as my mom in Cheaper by the Dozen. She is one of the funniest people I have ever met. I also really liked working with Ashton Kutcher, he is hilarious to be around.
Any future projects we can expect?
Doubting Thomas is a feature I did this past year with Anna Sophia Robb. I play a 12 yr old boy named Thomas Miller who loves to tell outrageous stories and when he over hears a plot about a kidnapping no one will believe him, so he has to save the day with his best friend Jackie, the ONLY person who does believe him! I had a blast making this movie and I made some great new friends.
If you could do anything for one day, what would it be?
I would want to be a professional skateboarder. Skateboarding is my other passion in life!
What's the nicest thing a fan has said to you?
A boy named Cole, who lives in my hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana told me I was his inspiration for wanting to act. It was a really great feeling hearing that from one of my peers.
What charities you support.
The Children Affected by Aids Foundation is the charity I do work with. It is a good feeling to help other kids.
Tell us a random fact about you.
I got to keep the dog from Cheaper by the Dozen, the big white American bulldog that played the Baker family dog, Gunnar. His real name is Grunt and he is such an amazing dog!
Are you currently single?
I don't have a girlfriend right now.
What do you look for in a girl?
I look for a girl with a good sense of humor and who has a really outgoing personality. And cute and smart would be good too!
