 Greg Raposo |
So please introduce yourselves.
My name is Greg Raposo, I'm 23, and I'm from Long Island New York.
What got you started in music?
I've always loved attention and at a very young age I noticed that people would give me lots of it when I would sing with my guitar. The more attention I could get the better and the more music I played the more attention I got.
Would you say you’re pretty successful so far?
I do feel successful because I've had so much fun, met so many great people, and have so many incredible memories that will last me forever.
Do you think people can relate to your music?
I think people can relate to me and therefore relate to my music. Most of my songs are about personal experiences of mine but some people may have had similar experiences that connect us.

Who are your musical influences?
I have many different musical influences. Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen, Audioslave, and Story Of The Year are a few.
Have you ever messed up on stage?
Of course; all the time, but you would never know.
Do you have any pre-gig rituals?
I like to do push ups before I go on stage. It gets my blood pumpin'.
Some people may know you, Greg, from Dream Street. How does
that compare to being in RAPOSO?
In Dream Street, I was an employee of a company. In Raposo, I own the company.
You have managed to build a worldwide fanbase. Did you ever
imagine achieving this?
Yeah, my whole life. My dreams are huge!
Do you have a CD out, or plans to release one soon?
We have a Raposo EP called "Ready To Go" that you can only buy at our concerts or through our website.

Are you planning on going on tour soon?
Right now we are working on new material but we always have shows around New York and the East Coast. My life is a constant tour.
Say a line from one of your songs that describes how you feel
right now.
Whoa no, everybody lets you down. Whoa no, stuck in the same old run-around.
Why should someone choose music as a career?
I wouldn't recommend anyone choosing music as a "career." It's a great passion to have, and a fun hobby, but an incredibly difficult career to achieve, maintain, and balance with a real life.
What are the ups and downs of the business?
When it's up, everyone loves you and wants to be your best friend. It's hard to trust people at that time knowing that when it's down, no one could care less about you.
Where do you see yourselves in 3 years?
On a world-wide tour selling out arenas and playing amazing music that I've been working my whole life towards writing.

And now some random questions for fans to get to know you
better…
Have you ever had any embarrassing moments with fans?
I don't really get embarrassed. If I do something stupid in front of my fans, they usually just think it's cute, so I can't get embarrassed around them. Haha!
What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done?
I've done many romantic things... but if I gave away my secrets, they wouldn't be quite so romantic anymore. Sorry!
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
Hmmm.. that's a tough one! I do lots of crazy things on stage that I bet my fans could tell you about better than I can. I like to climb things.
Tell us a random fact about yourself.
I don't like chocolate, and I heat up my milk for my cereal almost every morning!
