Acting career
How did you get into acting?
I started acting when I was really little, doing school plays and entertaining my family. I started taking acting classes and my acting coach referred me to an agent in Arizona which is where I live and then that agent referred me to an agent in Los Angeles and I’ve been working ever since.
Do you live in Arizona or LA?
I live in Arizona but I frequently go back to California.
Which do you prefer?
California definitely has better weather! Arizona is so hot! I’m going to go with my home town state, Arizona! I love Arizona and I don’t see myself living anywhere else!
Best parts/worst parts of acting?
Definitely meeting people! Acting can open a lot of doors and you can help a lot of charities through your acting career. It’s a lot of fun! Acting is an amazing hobby! Getting to be a different person every day is amazing! Who wants to be themselves for every single day of their life? The worst thing is…I don’t know! I’ve been very fortunate with my acting career and I’m very thankful! I’ve had a lot of fun doing it and I don’t know…I can’t think of anything! Maybe waking up early…that’s about it!
What future projects can we expect you in?
I just finished shooting a pilot and what was cool about this pilot was that I got to play the brother of my sister! I got to shoot it with my actual sister and since we’ve never worked together before, it was a lot of fun! Right now they’re shopping it and hopefully it will get picked up!
Is it fun working with your sister?
It was! We’ve never worked on anything before which each other! It was a lot of fun and the chemistry is there since we’re brother and sister and you can see that on camera. It’s easier to deliver your lines to your sister because you already have the feeling inside on the way you’d actually talk to her.

Do you prefer to work on comedies or dramas?
I have a lot of fun working on comedies but I prefer drama pieces because it’s really the time when you get to “act”. You really have to get to know the character and feel him inside you so that when you deliver the lines, you become that person. So yeah…drama piece!
Who are your role models and why?
Definitely my parents. My parents have set the perfect example for the way for me to live my life and they’re involved in a lot of charities which inspired me to take part too. My dad and I have actually been to 4 different countries on missionary work together!
That’s awesome! Where did you go? What did you do?
I actually just got back from Cambodia a week ago. My dad and I went there with a group and we were helping Cambodian orphans, people with Polio and people suffering from mine attacks. It’s definitely a bonding experience that I got to help people with my dad. My mum is also involved with a lot of charities in our home state and our family just finished running the Gomez family food drive. We raised 100,000 cans for the homeless. It was pretty amazing.
Nicest thing a fan has said to you.
I just had a bunch of fans tell me how nice I am and I always appreciate that because it lets you know that I’m being a good person.
Most embarrassing moment with a fan.
Yes I have! I was at school once and a little girl asked me for my autograph and I agreed. I signed it but I guess I misspelt her name because I didn’t quite understand it. She came back to me and she’s like, “you spelt my name wrong!!” and I was like, “Omg I’m so sorry!!” I had to correct it and it was pretty embarrassing!
How do you balance your acting career and your regular life?
My friends don’t really don’t care about my acting. They support me but they wouldn’t treat me any different because of it. My family is very flexible with my acting career. They’ve all dedicated their time to make sure that I’m able to go to California and come back and they’re very supportive. It’s really rather simple and I’m very grateful for that! I know a lot of other actors who have a tough time doing it but I’m happy to say it’s simple for me and the school I go to, Arizona International Academy, lets me act so I can miss days of school as long as I make up the work.
Have you ever had weird reactions from people about who you are?
No. Sometimes people will recognize me and I’m just normal about it. If someone recognizes me, that’s great and I appreciate it. It’s always nice to hear that someone appreciated your work. Nothing too out of the ordinary with that!
Do you miss your family a lot when you’re away filming?
Either my sister or my mum comes with me but of course it is hard if you’re gone for weeks at a time. You always miss your family members and your animals. My family is very close though so we’re constantly talking on the phone or emailing. It’s not that tough but there’s always the element of missing them. Two of my sisters just moved out actually. One of them is going to University of Pennsylvania and my other sister just got married. My family got a lot smaller so I have to deal with that when I’m not home.
What’s your trailer like?
Very comfortable. When I’m not working I go in and do my homework. I have a couch, fridge, television…you know! The normal stuff! It’s always nice to have a trailer because you can go back and think about your character or do school work or hang out with your family.
What advice would you give upcoming actors?
Never get discouraged! In this business there’s a lot of rejection, it comes with the territory. It’s nothing about you personally. You’re either not right for the part, they’re looking for someone older, younger, you never know! Rejection is just part of the business and never take it personally. And don’t get down if you don’t get a part.

Best moment
I got to work with a chimpanzee on a movie I did and that was awesome! I’ve always wanted to play with a monkey and getting to film with one was really cool! When I was in my trailer, you could hear him walking around because they scream rather loudly so I’d be doing my homework and I’d hear a monkey! So when I got to film with him, it was just amazing!! Sitting in a chair and he flips in it…perfect balance! They’re also adorable! They’d stroke your hand and it was the most amazing moments!
Most embarrassing
I was filming a movie last year called A Merry Little Christmas in December and it was really cold! When I went to get my lines, my lips went numb because of the cold and I couldn’t talk! When the director yelled action, I was trying to say my lines but it was coming out all bleeuurghh and they couldn’t understand what I was saying! I was trying to explain that my lips were numb!
Ever had a crush on someone on set?
No although there are always lots of different girls on set, I try to keep my acting career separate from my personal life. there are always very attractive girls but I keep my personal life away from them so that all our lives are easier.
Favourite person to work with
Either Christopher Plummer or Jon Voight. They were just two amazing actors and they’ve seen and done everything to do in the film business! It was great working with them because I’ve seen their work and look up to them and they have seen and experienced the business first hand.
Ever played a character similar to you?
A lot of the characters I have played have been pretty similar to me but there haven’t been any that have been drastically like me. Probably a merry little Christmas was the closest to my personality.

Eva Longoria from Desperate Housewives.

Worst thing that can happen on a date.
Probably leaving my wallet! Or her current boyfriend calls her on her cell phone…that’s the worst possible thing!

Describe best Holiday Ever
Probably last Christmas my whole family was here, I got to see some family members that I don’t see too much and we all came together for Christmas. It was a lot of fun and we all enjoyed it!

My mum tries pretty hard to make sure nothing goes bad! I don’t think I’ve had a bad holiday!
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I’ve been dying to go to Israel for missionary work!
If you could do anything, what would you do?
I’d be president for one day!
What would you change about the world?
I’d change all the hate. I totally respect people’s different opinions but I don’t believe opinions should be forced on other people. People should do their own thing and worship who they want but live with each other peacefully.
What are your hobbies apart from acting?
My hobbies are…playing baseball, hanging out with friends, air softing.

If you were stuck on a desert island with only three things, what would they be and why?
A dog, a computer and a phone.
Do you have any pets?
I have two dogs who are Maltese, one wild cat who randomly moved into my house and trust me he’s big! And 3 ducks! They randomly moved into my pool and never left!
