So guys introduce yourselves.
Hey! I’m Jullian, I’m Parker and I’m Griffin and we’re HWY535

What made you decide to form a band?
Jullian: Honestly, we all just loved music! We live on the same street and I went to the same school as Griffin, and he came over to my house and saw me rocking out on the drums and then I went over to Parker’s house and saw him rocking out on the guitar and thought, hey this is a good idea! Let’s make a band!

What does HWY535 mean?
Parker: It’s the interstate road that we live on! We’ve lived on it our whole lives and it goes to all the cool places! Since everyone has name names…we have our street!

So who plays what in the band?
Griffin: I play the bass guitar and back up vocals, Parker plays lead guitar and lead vocals and Jullian plays drums and does the back up vocals too.

Parker, isn’t it hard to play lead guitar and sing at the same time?
Parker: Well I practice a lot. It was hard the first couple of days but now it’s as easy as breathing!!

You’re so young, yet you’re dead set on a music career. What made you so sure?
Jullian: Not really because all amazing musicians say they wanted to start young but they didn’t. They got big eventually though. Young artists have more experience when they get older.

What are you hoping to achieve by next year?
Parker: Hopefully we’ll get our album done, either by the end of this year or the beginning of the next and do a tour of our own, or alternatively going with someone else on tour like The Jonas Brothers or maybe the Cheetah Girls again.

Who do you really want to tour with right now?
Griffin: The Jonas Brothers! We’ve met them a couple of times and they’re such great guys!

Which of the songs is your favourite?
Jullian: I don’t really have a favourite! I love all the songs that we do! They’re all fun to play and the crowd reacts really well. If I had to choose, I’d choose Turn It Up. It’s such an anthem song! And it’s our single too!

Do you guys have time to be regular kids?
Griffin: On the bus we usually have loads of free time to do regular stuff like Jullian is an amazing skateboarder, Parker is a great wake boarder and I love hanging out with all my friends, jumping on the trampoline, swimming.

What inspires you to write songs?
Jullian: Just what we do in a normal day. “Hey Girl” was about a girl as you might guess, and other songs are just about what we do with our friends, what we do every day etc.

You’re currently on tour with the Cheetah Girls! What’s that like?
It’s great and the cool thing is we’re almost like family now! It’s cool hanging out with them! It’s not every day you get to hang out with super stars!

What’s the best thing about being on tour?
Jullian: Rocking out in front of 8000 screaming girls! We’d love to meet all of them!

Tell me a random fact about yourself.
Jullian: I like skateboarding and getting active.
Griffin: I like to go swimming! I’ll jump in any pool! It’s my favourite thing to do, apart from playing music.
Parker: I like chilling out and if we’re near a beach, I’ll go to the beach. I love being outdoors but since we’re on the bus, I’ll play video games.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve done?
Jullian: Playing these arenas! They’re so big and packed! It’s awesome!

What does it feel like playing in front of so many people?
Parker: It’s great when we go on stage! We get a bit nervous before but once we play the first note, we’re in the zone and have the audience in our hands.

Have you ever made any mistakes on stage?
Griffin: Yeah we’ve made a few. I remember one time we were playing and we finished our set, so we go to the front to take a bow. Jullian almost tripped off his drum set but he corrected himself and got there for the bow.
Jullian: That wasn’t too fun…

Have you ever had any embarrassment moments on set?
Jullian: Not really…I’ve had my six drum almost fly off the stage, but nothing major. Oh wait! The most embarrassing was hitting myself on the head with my drumstick!
Parker: We have inner ear monitors to get an inner ear mix and I clipped mine to my belt and I’m running and it falls off…So Griffin has to pick up the thing and attach it to me whilst we’re playing! It was in front of everyone! It was embarrassing…but we still rocked it out!

What does it take to win your heart?
Griffin: I’m not sure…I’m only 11!
Jullian: Girls that don’t want to go out with me because I’m famous…I want a girl that wants to go out with me because they honestly like me…oh and pretty girls!
Parker: I like a girl that’s just like me. Funny, nice and maybe even a musician…
