Could you start by telling us a little bit about yourselves?
We are Independent Country Pop/Folk Rock Singer/Songwriters from Australia .
Rebecca & Rachael (Twin Sisters) from Brisbane,Queensland have spent their young lives pursuing their musical dreams, doing the hard yards of the well-worn country music and contemporary talent quests which run from Newcastle to far north Queensland. The duet are versatile in the music they sing and play.
“Jaxonville” consist of Rebecca (violin, mandolin, guitar Vocals), (Rachael Rhythm Guitar and Vocals). Two gifted individuals who take vocal harmony to new heights. This has always been considered meant to be and it seems like forever as the girls have been writing songs and performing together since an early age.
They are well accomplished songwriters and have performed their own songs at many established venues over the past few years. They are also very talented individual vocalists as well as a duet act, well known for their harmonies. Music has been a lifetime event and individually each vocalist shines but with their combined voices is nothing short of dazzling!

A lot of performers have performed their whole lives is that true for you guys?
Yes, Pretty much and we also did a bit of busking on the streets and the local Talent Quests circuit too.

Okay so I am sure everyone wonders are you guys related?
Well we are twins believe it or not! We are Fraternal Twins and we are 3 minutes apart.

Do you write your own songs also?
Yes we write our own songs together but its also good to branch out and co-write with other artists too.

What should we expect to see from you guys in the next year or so?
In the next year or so we have got a few festivals and gigs coming up and we have had interest with our songs in Italy and some co-writing with other artists. Recently we are in the “Annual Q music Awards” we are in the Top 5 category for Country Music for one of our songs “Say Goodbye” and we will be performing live. We have the awards night on October 17th which is Part of one of the biggest music conference in the music industry “Big Sound 2006” To be staged around Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley from October 18-20, BIG SOUND is an initiative of Q Music and will be one the most important events of its type held in the country this year. Its basically about showcasing our music to the people that you want to hear your music. So we are very fortunate that we have been given this chance. Seymour Stein (Sire Records/Warner Music, Vice President), Miller London (Urban Network, President USA), Ray Farrell (eMusic, VP Content Acquisition USA), Dickson Dee (Noise Asia, Founder Hong Kong/China), James Davies (Dark Horse Music UK), Erik Gilbert (Ioda USA), Cori Ferguson (President Canadian Independent Record Production Assoc), Neill Dixon (President, Canadian Music Week), David Vodicka (Rubber Records/Rubber Music Publishing/Media Arts Lawyers), Phillip Hardy (Founder/Managing Director Collective Music Ltd UK.Our first song “Ready For Us” will be released to radio soon so thanks for all the requests we deeply appreciate it.
We are definitely very excited about it!! We just can’t wait to get our music out there!!!

Whats your favorite song so far and why?
Haha…do you want the list there is too many to name …..there are so many great promising songs out there lyrically and musically.

Do you do anything special to prepare for a show?
We just get ourselves really pumped and excited it’s a great feeling! And it is such a great atmosphere and it just makes it even more rewarding when people are smiling and having a great time too and singing along to our own songs.

What else do you guys enjoy besides performing?
We enjoy doing a bit of retail therapy.... shopping!! haha its great to see a movie or even go out and see other live bands too.

Who are some of your musical inspirations?
Well there are a lot of things we have learned along the way being a singer/songwriters.Listen and learn from others as you can never stop learning and there are so many music inspirations for us whether in Pop Music or Country Music. Always be true to yourself and know that there will always be someone out there bigger and better than you and just enjoy what your doing and have fun with it!! Its all about the music for us.

What do you enjoy best writing, recording, or performing live? Why?
We actually enjoy doing everything! even though recording is a fairly new process to us, we admit recording can be a really tedious project!! In the end it’s the final product that was worth every minute of it.

Who are some of your heros?
Well there are a lot out there and some that don’t even get a mention just doing the little things that we take for granted and really appreciate everyday. Our Mum and Dad are awesome!! They drove us everywhere for years and coming to our gigs and supporting us and helping us out financially.

Is there any advice you would give to other upcoming stars?
Just get yourself out there as much as possible whether is Busking in the streets or singing in a Talent Search stay true to yourself and just have fun!!
