Hey Johnny! How are you?
I’m well. Thank you.

So you play Damon on the hit TV show, Make It or Break It. What has the whole experience been like?
The whole experience has been great. Everyone involved in the production of the show are great to work with it's a very comfortable group. And the response from the fans has been great.

Your character starts off as the bad boy, but turns into a very vulnerable and sweet character. Were you surprised by Damon's personality development?
Yes and no. When you start off you never know where the writers are going to take it. I think with Emily and Damon there are aspects of each of them that they bring out in one another. Chelsea and I found something early on that just worked and I think the writers and the audience noticed it right away. And so the story goes. :)

Damon actually ends up stealing his best friend's love interest, Emily. Even though they are a lovely couple, isn't it against 'bro code' to steal a friend's girl?
lol. Yeah it is. But in this case they were never really a couple and again these two characters are so opposite yet so a like they just click and when there's a spark. There's a spark. :)

If Emily was forced to choose, do you think she would pick Damon or Razor and Leo?
Is this a trick question? lol. I think she would choose Damon.

Damon gets into some trouble, and ends up in jail, therefore living up to his bad-boy name. Do you think Emily was too harsh on him?
Another no and yes answer. Yes in the sense that she wouldn't listen and Damon be explained but also from her side, they did make a pact and without her know the reason's why. It looked the way it looked. I’m glad she finally let him explain.

At the end of season 1, we see Damon leaving for a European tour. Will Damon return to the show?
He will yes. I don't really know what they have in store as of now but all I can say is yes you will see Damon Young again.

Damon is a talented musician, but has self-confidence issues. How can you relate to that situation, being a musician yourself?
As a musician there is always that feeling of what you create how will it be accepted not only to others but with in your self. There are times when I write songs and I never feel satisfied and then there are times when I overwhelmed with happiness and satisfaction of how a song turned out. It's like that in all art forms I think. When you put some much work into creating something you want it to be right.

How does it feel to be the only character on the show who is entirely unrelated to gymnastics?
I like it. Damon's storyline is so different yet a good addition to the show.

There's actually quite an imbalance between males and females on the show! Do the girls get bossy?
lol. No not at all. They are all such sweethearts. And we all get along so well.

Confess! Has there been any romance on set between the cast?
Not that I know of. No.

Now apart from acting, you're also a musician. Can you tell us a bit about your band?
Yes. My band is called Fairlene. And I can say right now I am so pleased with the songs we have. I think you will really enjoy them. I also have a solo EP on iTunes right now called Moment Of Time. It is very different from the style of our band.

When can we expect an album?
The first FAIRLENE EP will be released in August. It’s titled UNDER THE AFTERGLOW.

Will touring follow?
Not any time soon. We will begin playing out around town and then depending on how things pan out we would love to go on a large our.
