Would you care to introduce yourself?
My name is Kendall Gaveck and I am a 15 year old singer/song writer, and actress. I recently signed an exclusive worldwide contract with Sony Music. I am in the process of working on my first CD!
What got you into singing?
I have been singing as long as I can remember. I guess it was just a passion I was born with! I have been on the stage my whole life but the first performance I can remember was a solo I did when I was 3 at church. I have been singing ever since. I have done over 40 musicals and now I am focusing more on the song writing and recording process. I can't wait to get back on the stage!!!
What are your inspirations when you work?
My inspirations for the songs I write are all from real life experiences. I have written songs about being betrayed, friendship, pressures I'm under as a teenager, and of course BOYS!! I have written about a lot of other topics, but I want some of the songs to be a surprise. They are all about my feelings and things I have been through and I think many, many other people have felt the same emotions and will be able to relate. Some of the songs are just pure fun and some are very emotional. It is easy to be inspired while I am singing because I am usually singing words I wrote myself and I obviously feel the songs very deeply. If I am singing something I haven't written myself, I have usually chosen that song for a reason and I can relate to it. Obviously, if I am in a musical, I put myself completely into the character and it is easy to sing from their perspective.
What are the ups and downs of the business in your opinion?
The ups are that I have met sooooo many amazing and talented people. I have been lucky enough to have worked with some of the most incredible writers and producers in the business. Being on stage is ALWAYS a huge "up" because I absolutely love to perform. And, of course, putting my feelings and thoughts into music and hopefully touching someone's life with my songs is the most amazing feeling. Another huge "up" is that I have made so many awesome friends...people who have supported me along the way and have become such close friends. I guess some people would call them "fans" but... to me, I have just made thousands of new lifelong friends!
I try not to dwell on the "downs" but this business is full of rejection and pressure and it is hard to figure out who is "real" and who isn’t. Everything also always seems to take a LOT longer than i want it to but I know it is just part of this industry. I'm just very impatient sometimes!! =)
Why do you think people should listen to your music?
I hope people will want to listen to my music because it touches them in some way. I hope they can relate to it and know that there is someone else in this world who is going through exactly what they are going through and feeling exactly what they are feeling..and they are not alone. I also hope people listen just because they enjoy it and makes them feel good!

Can we expect any albums or singles out soon?
I don't have any exact release dates but I sure hope so!!!! =D
Do you support any charities?
I have donated time and money to charities my whole life. Building houses in Mexico, collecting backpacks full of school supplies, toys, and clothes for kids that go to the homeless school in Phoenix, working at the homeless shelter, spending Thanksgiving at shelters for homeless kids and playing with them and taking them to movies, personalizing and filling duffel bags full of clothes and shoes for homeless kids so they would have something to carry their new belongings in when the moved from shelter to shelter, and just lots of other stuff like that! Right now i am setting up a foundation with my Street Team to honor a street team member who died last year. We are going to be granting wishes anonymously to kids who have had siblings die. I wrote a song for the foundation and the foundation is in the process of being legally put together right now. It is called The Sierra-Hailey Foundation in honor of Sierra (who died) and her sister Hailey.
Tell me random facts about you?
I’m a Christian and I wear an abstinence ring (which is a promise to God, myself, and my family that I will stay a virgin until I am married), I LOVE scary movies!!!!, I am probably the most ticklish person you will ever meet!, I am obsessed with rhinestones, I am a pro at keeping secrets and I’m very loyal. If you could be any super hero, who would you be?
Kimberly the Pink Power Ranger!! She has some awesome moves and the girl has got style… can you say PINK??

Some fans were wondering you if you ever check your fan websites?
When I find out there is a new fan site, I usually go to it so that I can thank the person who set it up. If it is a myspace fan site, I like to leave a comment to thank them. If it is an internet fan site, I try to find a place to email a thank you note to the person who set it up. After that, I rarely go back because it is so weird for me to see people making a big deal about me! lol It's hard for me to grasp the concept of "fans"... I still feel like everyone I meet through these sites are just good friends.
What do you look for in a guy?
Honesty, integrity, sense of humor, ambition, and it never hurts for him to be a hottie and to treat me like a princess!!! =D
What's the craziest thing you've ever done?
Does sky diving count?? JUST KIDDING GUYS!!! I am doing that the day I turn 18!!! I spend my life doing crazy things so it's really hard for me to come up with one! Dressing all in black with a group of friends and doing crazy TPing throughout neighborhoods… deciding to go swimming fully clothed including jackets and shoes because it was cold out with a bunch of friends...it was a bet!...pretending to be a mannequin in a store window with a friend of mine and getting kicked out of the store for life...there are a million more i just cant think of them all right now!!
The toughest?
Probably leaving friends, boyfriends, etc, because of them changing and getting involved with smoking, drinking, drugs, or sex. I have had this happen to me a few times and I always try to talk to them about it first but, if they won’t change, I know I need to remove myself from the situation so I’m not tempted to fall either. It's always very difficult to loose a friend or boyfriend over something like this.
The most embarrassing?
It's almost impossible to embarrass me at this point. I have done sooooooo many stupid and dorky things that I'm past the point of being embarrassed...I'm at the point of accepting and "embracing my inner dork" (I stole that term from a good friend of mine!) and now I just laugh till I cry!
So what do you do in your spare time?
What spare time?? When I have a little, I like to just hang with my friends because I don’t get to see them very much! And just do regular stuff like going out to eat, going to movies, SHOPPING.

Computer or cell phone?
Cell Phone... It's surgically attached to me. The computer would be too heavy to surgically attach. =D ...plus I can go online on my sidekick so who needs the computer?!
