Nathan Kress

What's the hardest thing about playing Freddie?
Trying not to laugh when doing a scene with Jerry Trainor (Carly's brother Spencer).

How are you and Freddie similar?
We both enjoy technology, are focused when it comes to academics, and also loyal to our friends.

What has been your favorite episode so far?
The iDream of Dance episode although iRueTheDay is a close second! There is another one coming out called iFence which was very fun and I can't wait to see it.

Describe a typical day for you when filming iCarly?
I usually get up around 5:30 a.m. in order to do some form of exercise. Then we work 9 1/2 hours per day five days a week. Each day, I have about 3 or more hours of travel time to and from the set in which I'm usually doing schoolwork or memorizing my script. Monday through Wednesday, we rehearse and shoot on Thursday and Friday. We also do school on the set inbetween rehearsals and shooting.

What's your dressing room like?
In real estate terms, "cozy!" But it has everything I need to relax, listen to music, and do my school work.

Any embarrassing moments on set?
I don't know if it's embarrassing or not but it was funny! On the Halloween episode, Dan Schneider ("iCarly's" executive producer/creator) told Jerry to jump out of the closet with a chainsaw wearing the clown mask, and Jennette, Miranda and I were so scared, we ran off screaming like crazy.

If you could pick one actor/actress to guest star on the show, who would it be and why?
I would like Dan to guest star!!! He has incredible comedic timing and instincts and it would be so fun to do a scene with him.

You are the writer for one episode of iCarly. What would be the synopsis?
Valerie(from iWannaDateFreddie) comes back with a competing web show to get revenge, and we find out that Nevel is secretly her tech producer!

Any hints as to what happens in future episodes of iCarly?
The writers don't reveal what their ideas are but I think it would be fun to go on location somewhere....like do iCarly's webcast from Times Square, or Hawaii or let's dream big and say.....Paris!!!

Coolest celeb you've ever met?
Ask me after Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards!! I honestly haven't had the opportunity to meet too many people yet.

Nicest thing a fan has said.
A mom wrote me a letter and said that she watches iCarly with her kids and she appreciated me setting a good example for her kids!

How do you balance your acting career and your regular life?
There's honestly not much time for a regular life between full-time work and school, but I wouldn't trade my life with anybody else right now. I really enjoy working on iCarly and whenever I can get quality time with my family and close friends, I appreciate it even more.

You’re going to star in Gym Teacher: The Movie. Can you tell us a bit about it?
It stars Chris Meloni from Law & Order. His character is Dave Stewie, a former Olympic hopeful. I play Roland Waffle, an overprotected, uncoordinated kid that is a thorn in Stewie's side as he competes in a National competition for Gym Teacher of the Year.

What do you look for in a girl?
Character is very important to me. I also enjoy a great sense of humor. I am a traditional type of guy. I would like a feminine girl who enjoys a guy holding the door open for her and treating her like a lady.

Are you single?
My parents won't let me date until I'm at least 16.

Describe your worst possible date?
Intense dinner conversation on a first date at a swanky restaurant.

If you were a super hero, who would you be?
The Thing

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would go to Paris, because I'm taking French and would enjoy trying to navigate the city through language immersion.

What are your hobbies?
Airsofting, reading, video gaming, snowboarding, movies, music, fishing, hiking

What is the strangest thing you've ever had in your mouth?
I did a comedy sketch one time on Jimmy Kimmel. Apparently, a "furry lobster" had recently been discovered in the ocean and they did a spoof on it. They covered a lobster with fake fur and I had to look like I was eating (and enjoying ) it.
