Could you start by telling us alittle about yourself?
I am a singer/songwriter. I grew up in Sandy, UT. I was adopted into a large family of nine when I was just a baby. I realized my love for singing at a very young age, 5yrs. old. My older sister has an amazing voice and she would sing at church and family parties. My dad would always rent me Whitney Houston music videos and we would watch them together and I would sing along while standing on the coffee table:) I played the violin for 6years and the piano for 12 years. I love music!!

Do you have any albulms out yet or working on one?
I have completed my first album, self titled Nicole. And I am anxious to get started on the second one!

Do you also write your own songs?
Yes, I do. I try to Co-write and collaborate as much as possible because there is so much to learn:)

Which one of your songs is your favorite so far and why?
So far...Talk to Me, because I came up with the concept and really took creative control of the song.

Do you have any tours coming up?
We are working on some small tours right now.

Who are some of your musical influences?
Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Jamiroquai, Rachael Lampa, Steve Perry, Joss Stone...

What are some of your hobbies other than performing?
I'm learning how to dance:) I like working out, watching movies, Roller Coasters, shopping, eating junk food, and laughing.

What would you say your music style is like?
I would compare it to Pop/R&B with a little hint of Disco and old school R&B. Really simple melodies and lyrics. Just FUN!

Who would you say your heros are and why?
My Mommy, because she adopted six of us and raised us as her own with so much love. My Dad because he is a genius. Professionally, my heroes are Beyonce and Michael Jackson, for obvious reasons:)

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Completing my fourth or fifth album. Either touring or traveling for pleasure. Finally being able to spend quality time with the people I love:) Not worrying about money, just enjoying my success and my life:)

Do you enjoy writing, recording, or performing live the most?
There are great things about all three! But I would have to say at this point, recording. Because its the least stressful.. I can take my time and get it right and show up in my PJ's with no make up:)

When did you start performing?
When I was 8 or 9.

Do you get nervous before you go on stage?
Sometimes...I used to get WAY nervous, but I am growing and feeling more comfortable with my performance.

What do you do to prepare for a show?
I always rehearse the day before, FULL OUT:) and we always have a prayer.

If you could give one peice of advice to aspiring performers what would it be?
Do your best each time no matter what type of venue it is. And try not to get discouraged if things arent perfect. Just keep trying and take advantage of every opportunity.
