How did your acting career start? I began acting at the age of 2. Actually I began in modeling and that eventually led me into acting. As a kid though, I guess you could say I was the type who loved to be in front of the camera. What are the best parts/worst parts of acting? The best parts are definitely the experiences you gain and the people you meet. Especially with the job I have now, I cannot even explain how amazing some of the experiences I have had have been. The worst part would probably have to be the rejection. You have to get used to hearing "no" a lot before you can hear a "yes," but it is always tough to be rejected from a job, especially if it is one that you really want. What future projects can we expect you in? Well in 2008, I will have an ABC family movie coming out called "Two Sisters" directed by Margaret Cho, and starring Yunjim Kim from ABC's "Lost," Tamlyn Tomita, and Kathy Najimy. And in September you can expect to find me on the soundtrack for the new 20th Century Fox movie "Moondance Alexander." I recorded a song for the soundtrack. Coolest celeb you’ve met... Julie Andrews...I have always been a huge fan of hers and when I had the opportunity to interview her, I was blown away at how incredibly nice she was. Even after our interview she stayed and talked with me...she really was a "class act." Who do you most want to work with? I would love to work with Johnny Depp...yeah I think he is cute of course, but for me I want to work with him because of his unbelievable talent. I would honestly have to say that he is by far the most versatile actor in Hollywood...I have so much respect for him and I admire his talent.
Who are your role models and why? Well, my role models definitely fall in my family. All of my family members are role models for me...they have all given me so much and they have all accomplished so much in their lives despite hardships, etc. What message do you want to pass to people through acting? For me, I have always been a firm believer in "you can whatever you put your heart to," and that is exactly what I have done. I wanted to do acting and I never dreamed that I would be where I am today, but I set my heart to it and achieved my dreams. So, I guess I just want kids to see that anything is possible if they just believe in themselves. Nicest thing a fan has said? That's a tough one...fans always have great things to say to me and I am always amazed because I think of myself as a normal person, but to kids I am a role model and that means the world to me. The nicest thing to hear though is when a little kid says to me, "I want to be just like you when I grow up." Most embarrassing moment with a fan? Hmm...you know, luckily I don't think I have had any of these yet...I am sure it is coming though How do you balance your acting career and your regular life? You know a lot of people ask me this...and it is not that difficult because my parents have raised me to where I always was able to attend a public school and do acting at the same time. Of course there are a few things that I have to miss out on, but basically I just make sure that I can still be a kid while doing acting. School has been the hardest to balance though. Have you ever had weird reactions from people about who you are? Haha...umm...yeah I mean sometimes when you tell people who are, they don't believe it and they will kind of stare at you or be like "what...are you serious?" That is always funny to see! Have money and success changed you at all? Here is the truth...people always say that money and success doesn't change them...but I think the truth is there is no avoiding change with money and success. For me, I am still the same person, but I am now more confident of myself because I have seen that I can achieve my goals, so I now know that nothing is impossible. But, I am not a person who flaunts my success or anything because I realize that everything I have can be taken away from me in seconds. What’s your favourite thing about fame and success?
Definitely being a role model to kids. I remember when I was little, I always had people who I looked up to and now to think that kids look up to me is almost unfathomable to me.
Ever wish you could disappear for a while? I think everyone does...I think everyone goes through hard times in their life and wishes that they could just get away from everything for a while...and yeah I am only human, so yes I have wished this before. Do you get bothered if you read bad stuff about you in the media? Luckily, I haven't had this problem too much...but the stuff I do read, I don't let it get to me because you know what, everyone is entitled to their opinion and people will believe what they want to...and as long as I know what the truth is, then that is all I need. Do you miss your family a lot when you’re away filming? Usually I have my mom with me and I haven't filmed anything where I have been gone for a long time...but yeah you always miss you family when you are filming something. What’s your trailer like? Haha...usually just has a couch, a bathroom, a refrigerator, a snack basket...nothing too fancy...haha How does it feel to be a role model of so many people out there? Amazing...as a I said before, being a role model is so rewarding for me and it is hard for me to fathom that I am someone who kids look up to. What advice would you give upcoming actors? I would just say, to believe in yourself...acting is tough when you first start because you have to deal with a lot of rejection, but trust me, you will get your chance if you just believe and don't give up. That is the key in acting, don't ever give up and always know that YOU can do it!!! What’s the key thing to success (in your opinion)? The key thing to success is following your heart and believing in yourself. If you can't tell that is one of my favorite sayings...so many people think that they can't do it, and if you believe this, then you are not going to be successful...you'll never share real love until you love yourself...
Movies
Best moment during filming? Every moment filming, is a best moment for me!!! Worst moment during filming? Haven't had any... Ever had a Crush on someone on set? I can't say that I have...but who knows, maybe it'll happen someday...haha Favorite person you worked with... Hmm, that is a tough one...probably the last movie I just worked on "Two Sisters" and working with Margaret Cho, Yunjin Kim, Tamlyn Tomita, Kathy Najimy, and Kal Penn. This was an amazing cast to work with and I learned so much from each of them. I really feel blessed to have been able to work with them. Favorite scene filmed Oh wow...I don't either...there are so many. Movie Surfers has provided me with some pretty amazing opportunities though. Dog sledding in Smithers, Canada was an amazing experience and right now is probably my favorite.

You never realize what you have until it's really gone
And it's only then that in your heart, you know that you were wrong In your life, and along the way, you will encounter many friends But only one or two will be brave enough to stand with you till the end And have no doubt that your heart will break And that you should sometimes give and not always take And with your family, you may sometimes fight But it's up to you to make things right... Trust is not an easy bond to create... But unless you're careful, it take only seconds to break And when you're lost outside and can't find your way Just remember there's another day Your best friend will know all your hopes and fears And be there with you to dry your tears If you're ready to give up and think you're done Just know you can't fix your problems if you always run No one said life was gonna be fair... But what makes you strong, is if you take that dare And don't be afraid to sometimes let go Cause if you're hiding within, then you'll never truly know Your full potential, and who you're supposed to be So just look inside and you will finally see That only you, determine who you are How high you wanna reach and even how far It's never too late to make a new start But more importantly, never doubt your heart.
