 Tiffany Giardina |
Hey! so please introduce yourself?
Hey, I'm Tiffany Giardina.
I'm 15 years old, I am a singer/songwriter and I have a new CD coming out this January 20th!
What got you involved with music?
I started with local theater in New York at age 5 and got the bug!
Do you write your own songs?
Yes, I do. I either write or collaborate with other writers, My songs reflect my life. My new CD, "No Average Angel," is very relateable to girls my age; it is about keeping your self esteem high. Basically you don’t have to measure up to anyone else’s standards, just be who you are meant to be. Everyone
is unique in their own way.
Do you prefer writing, recording, or performing?
I like all three in different ways, the creative process is amazing. You start off writing and watch it transform into a song. Some songs take very little time to come to life and others can take a long time. Recording is something I really look forward to because my producers are so much fun! We play jokes on each other and its just us in the room, so we goof around a lot and act silly. But performing is my favorite because I get to do what I love to do best, and having a live audience, especially kids is great.
Describe the best performance you ever had?
I recently performed a music showcase at Planet Hollywood right here in NYC, and all my friends and family were there and the energy was so high!
I also had my new band with me and that was a whole different experience, its fun to play with a live band.
Have you had any embarrassing moments on stage?
I just got this new mike stand with a wheel at the base and I hit myself in the face with it a couple of times. I need to work it out still!
Do you have any pre-gig rituals?
Before every performance I gargle with three secret ingredients, it gets my voice warmed up and ready to go.
Say a line from one of your songs and how it makes you feel right now?
From Falling Down ..." Every day is changing, I'm rearranging, I'm not the girl I used to be...”
It makes me feel confident .
Out of all the songs you have written, which is is your favorite and why?
Don't Want to Let It Go.
Its about my summers at the beach. It was a special time for me, it has a reggae feel, and its a little different from the rest of the album.
What are your goals for 2009 ?
The release of my new CD and to get into acting.
Where can people buy/listen to your music ?
Well it will be sold at FYE stores, iTunes, and as of now I have two new videos that are on the Internet and response from the fans is amazing!
Now some random questions...
Describe yourself in three words?
Artistic, dreamer, calm.
