Lindsay Lohan: A little more Personal (Raw) - by Joelle
This CD is something that every teenage girl should own.
Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father): This song is so full of emotion you can almost tell Lindsay wants to break down and cry while she is singing. The part that touches me the most is when Lindsay says “Tell me the truth, did you ever love me”? I could not imagine a father that didn’t love his little princess. Definitely a hit.
Black Hole: This is definitely the angry chick break up song. I blast this song when I think of my ex. “I found my box of letters lying on the ground. The ones you used to write me before it all went down. I even got a paper cut trying to figure out what to do with all these memories.”
I live for the Day: This song reminds me a little of “First”. It’s another one of those live for the moment kind of songs. Like after you break up with someone and you know you can move on. It’s very poppy and fun. “I live for the day. I live for the night that you will be desperate and dying inside. I live for the tears to fall down your face. I live for the words you finally say, I live for the day.”
I want you to want me: This is one of my favorites. Lindsay does an awesome job with this cover. I think it was a great choice to add some variety to the album.
My Innocence: “I’ve had my share of pain, But you’ve missed most of that. So many other things you had to do. You looked after you.” Another song about the pain of her father leaving her when she was young. I didn’t realize how much pain she was in till I heard this song. It’s powerful.
A Little More Personal: The title track and also one of my favorites. She starts off the beginning with a little bit of talking. This is a song about how she is in a relationship that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, and she wants to get a little more personal. It’s a poppy rock song that is fun to blast when hanging out with the girls. “Can we try a little more personal? Can we throw away all the casual? Cuz the more i know about you and the more you know about me, its easier to be a little more personal”
If it’s alright: Another good song from LL. “And if it's alright i'll stay here till it's late, until you tell me that it's time that we moved on. And if it takes all night i'll wait here till the daylight so that i can see that we just don't belong.
It's alright, we were wrong.” It’s a breakup song about realizing that it is time to move on a get over the past.
If you were me: This song is rockin’ Great guitar riffs. “And then i found out that we meant nothing from someone on the streets. And i never saw it coming never saw it coming.” It’s about thinking everything in your relationship is going well until you here from other people that your man is cheating.
Fast lane: This song is all about feeling good and living for the moment. Look on the bright side of things. “Tomorrow is another day. You only live once and I'm living for today. I'm living for today.”
Edge of Seventeen: A Stevie Nicks cover that rocks. She sings it just as good, if not better than Stevie. I absolutely love it. It’s a song that really shows of her vocals.
Who loves you: The song is catchy. It’s about the guy that she likes and how great he is. “Something bout your lips something about your kiss, something bout your eyes keeps you on my mind. Though it was nothing, turns out it is something.”
12. A Beautiful Life: My all time favorite song on this album. She even got a tattoo “la bella vita” on her lower back. This song is just so beautiful. All of the pain that she has gone through, she is still greatful to be alive. “And this is my beautiful life. The only thing certain is everything changes. Lows and the highs, and all those goodbyes. As hard as it gets I know it's still is amazing to be alive. It's a beautiful life.”
