Barefoot: Rain
Review by: Amanda
I was first introduced to Barefoot's amazing music two years ago when I was fortunate enough to stumble upon a show they were playing. They told me to come check them out, so I did, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
The band hails from Texas, and lead singer, Chris Pearson's dad is an old college buddy of Joe Simpson, Jessica and Ashlee's dad. They are signed to his new record label, Papa Joe Records. Their debut album will hit stores early next year, and I highly recommend it. This EP is one that they gave out at their shows, but you can download "Rain", the first single, on Itunes.
They are a pop-rock band, the modern version of U2, and I don't say that lightly. Actually, Chris does and amazing cover of U2's "Beautiful Day" that would bring a tear to Bono's eye.
Barefoot will be playing a few shows, here and there, for the next few months, and if you go, be sure to stick around to meet them after because they are the funniest guys you will ever meet! Be on the look-out for their debut album and a show on MTV early next year.
As for my album song recommendations, "Rain" is such a beautiful song, even more so when it's raining and you're with that special someone. :)
"Alive" is amazing, and I really hope that'll be the next single. Their cover of U2's "Beautiful Day" is what made me fall in love with Barefoot. There are no words to describe how incredible it really is. Anyways, check them out and spread the word!
