Amy Famiglietti: Broken - Review by Kat

Amy Famiglietti’s debut album ‘Broken’ is anything but well, broken. The 6 track EP consists of fun upbeat dance tracks each written by Amy. The music makes you want to just get up and dance.

Song by Song:

Broken - 1/5 - This is probably the only song I don’t care for on the CD, the sound and vocals just grate on me a little, could be a personal preference, however.
Time to set things right - 4/5 – The song is about a girl suspicious of her boyfriend who ultimately discovers his cheating. The chorus is the highlight of this track, I’d describe it but I can’t quite put my finger on it. The lyrics are great too.
Just let me be - 5/5 – My personal favorite. The song has a techno sound and features everything I love about pop, great lyrics, catchy sound, cool special effects.
Too Late - 5/5 – Features all the positives of ‘Just Let me Be’ with perhaps even more special effects and great harmonies.
All on you - 3/5 - Great club track about the thrill of being on the stage with the lights ‘all on you’, I love the bridge at the end.
Sometimes - 5/5 – The CD’s only slow song, absolutely beautiful with tragic lyrics (You say you care/ but that is not true/ I start to care when I’m with you/ What is there left to do) and strong vocals which are the feature point of the song.

Definitely a great debut EP that’s worth checking out.
