Cali: Cali - Review by Kat

Cali's debut album features twelve fun, upbeat teen pop tracks including the utterly infectious first single 'Get Up'.

Listening to the album leaves youwith a happy feeling due to the uplifting messages that run through such songs as 'Get up', (Take your sadness, all this madness move on past it and you just get on, get up), 'Toodaloo Earth', (Hello Sky, toodaloo earth, I'll say it again, waiting for your love to take me away), 'Shine' (Your love is shining on me and I feel good) and even 'Wonderful Crazy' a track originally recorded last year by fellow teen musician Katelyn Tarver.

Though the overall theme of the album is pop, 'Can it be' is a great rock out track. (Can it be, can it be that we don't know the difference between blindness and vision) and 'Shine' has a great R&B theme reminscent of Stacie Orrico.

'Sounds so good' (You're too cute to be cruel and you know I'd give in to you. Come back soon) is a is a sweet love song ballad and 'Are you listening' is a desperate track that tugs on your heartstrings as Cali cries out for answers and a reinforcement of faith. (Do you hear me when I call your name? Do you hear me when I cry? Do you hear these words my lips won't say? Are you listening tonight?)

Cali's debut album 'Cali' is definitely worth checking out. A great pop album for the teen set!
