Death Cab released a new 5 track Ep. The few tracks are great. Completely in keeping with Death Cab's traditional style but in a more organic feel. These are the way songs would sound at a concert as opposed an overproduced record.
Little Bribes is very catchy, I found myself singing it constantly over the next few days.
A Diamond and A Tether is simple but moving. The chorus especially is a delicious blend of instruments.
My Mirror Speaks is a great song about a man afraid of really going for his dreams. He sees what he dreams of doing but when looking in the mirror sees only a scared child going nowhere. It's an interesting look at actually taking risks and how the way we view ourselves isn't necessarily who we are.
I Was Once A Loyal Lover is easily my favorite of the songs. A deeper and oddly haunting insight into love that lasts and love that doesn't.
The final song, Talking Bird is very sweet and simplistic.
It's a great EP and highly worth purchasing.
